Our restaurant is set in one of the most historic buildings of Cowbridge and exudes a timeless atmosphere. The house was built onto the medieval town walls. It may well have been linked with the Gatehouse – before the West gate was removed by Thomas Edmondes of Old Hall in 1753. The Market Place has become a bye word for the best in food, dining and ambience, indeed the perfect place for your Christmas party celebration.

As is the Christmas tradition, excitement is clearly high amongst the children as they wait for Santa to pass the Market Place in his sleigh, pulled by his reindeer, kept warm with the taste of the famous Market Place soup (free of charge), they are never disappointed as the magical parade passes by. Follow the parade through Cowbridge, remember the taste of our tingling soup and then join us for a choice of 2 roast dishes at their most succulent with all the trimmings and more mouth watering dishes from our menu.
