BT Cornwall provide mobile phone services to Cornwall Council as part of a managed contract with effect 01.07.2013. BT Cornwall are not subject to the FOI Act however in the spirit of openness, we can confirm that prior to this date EE were the main telephony provider. The contract was renegotiated in Feb 2012 renegotiated and extension of the contract ran from May 2012. Cornwall Council’s mobile phone contract has been novated to BT Cornwall with effect 01/07/2013.

Cornwall Council does not currently own any handsets, they are owned by BT Cornwall who provide a fully managed ICT service. As of July 2013, our records show that 5622 connections made calls. The breakdown is made up as: 3749 x standard handsets, 1866 x BlackBerrys and 7 x iPhones.
