Video handsets Our stylish video handset provides additional security with high quality images in Black & White or Colour. Continue the aesthetic theme with the choice of White, blue or grey anthracite. The Black & White memory monitor has the ability to record up to 32 calls in your absence with details of the date & time of their visit. Black & White memory monitors and Colour monitors are only available in white.

Coding

Telephone and monitor coding In order for a telephone or monitor to receive a call, it must be codified with a binary number (see conversion table below) which is related to the button or call code on the panel. To codify the telephone or monitor, look for the binary number to be assigned to it in the conversion table. Special care has to be taken when carrying out this operation, because if a micro-switch stays in the intermediate position, the telephone or monitor will not be programmed with the required code.

It is advisable to call the telephone or monitor to ensure that the assigned code is correct. Therefore no telephone should be configured with the number 0. Programming codes for monitors connected in parallel where an additional monitor is wired to receive the same call both monitors should be programmed with the same code.

Voltage Free Contact

Volt-free contact is the same as a dry contact. It means a set of contacts that is mechanically operated, but has no power of their own. You must provide a power source to 'read' their condition into your down-stream device. It becomes the user's responsibility to determine how to sense that contact closure. Usually you do this by putting a voltage on one side and sensing the voltage on a return line from the other side of the contact when it closes. Once you apply voltage to the contacts, it becomes a wet contact. You "wet" the contact with a sensible voltage level.
