What You Will Need 

Duo Enrolled Device – Remote access requires you to have a mobile device, tablet, and/or landline phone enrolled within Duo for login and authentication purposes. If you need a to enroll a mobile device, tablet, and/or landline phone within Duo please note the following: o Physicians: You can contact SHC Service Desk at 650.723.3333 for assistance. o All other users: You are required to submit a form at https://stanfordhc.service-now.com. If you have any questions regarding this form, please contact SHC Service Desk at 650.723.3333.



Citrix Receiver - In order to access Citrix applications, you will first need to ensure you have the Citrix Receiver application on any desktop, laptop or iPad you plan on using. To verify if you already have this application installed complete the following actions: o On a Windows client, click on your start button and type in Citrix Receiver in the search field. If you have this installed, you’ll see “Citrix Receiver” appear under program files. o On a MacBook, click on your application folder, and you should see the Citrix Receiver application in this folder. o

On your iPad, look through your apps and search for a “Citrix Receiver” app icon.

Any of the following browsers: o Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 9 or later) o Mozilla Firefox (version 35.0.1 or later) o Google Chrome (version 40 or later) o Apple Safari (version 8.0 or later)

Installing Citrix Receiver for Mac 10.5 (Leopard) 1. When you are viewing the new login page for direct access to citrix applications, click on “Mac OSX 10.5 (Leopard)”.

2. You will then see this pop up indicating the file is downloading. Once the download is complete, click on this file to install the application (detailed steps can be found in the Appendix section).

Installing Citrix Receiver for Mac 10.6 and Newer 1. When you are viewing the new login page for direct access to citrix applications, click on “Mac OSX 10.6 and Newer”.

2. You will then see this pop up indicating the file is downloading. Once the download is complete, click on this file to install the application (detailed steps can be found in the Appendix section).

Installing Citrix Receiver for Windows 1. When you are viewing the new login page for direct access to citrix applications, click on “Windows”.

2. Next, you will receive this pop up to allow citrix receiver to download and install, click yes.

3. Citrix receiver will then start to install.

Installing Citrix Receiver on an iPad 1. When you are viewing the new login page for direct access to citrix applications, click on “iOS devices (iPhone/iPad)”.

2. This link will provide detailed steps to download a citrix receiver app on your apple mobile devices. For quick reference on how to download the app on your iPad, follow these steps:

1. On your iPad home screen, tap on the App Store icon. 2. Once you have entered the Apple store, type “citrix receiver for iPad” in the search box. 3. Once you have identified the app, tap on it, and tap the free button next to Citrix Receiver to install the App.

4. Then enter your Apple ID Password in password pop-up when prompted and the install will begin.

5. To verify, look for this icon on your iPad.

Logging into Citrix Applications If you want direct access to Citrix Applications: 1. Type https://citrixremote.stanfordhospital.org into your web browser, and you should now see the following login screen where you will enter your SHC username and password. Once you’ve entered your credentials, please click the NEXT button.

2. You should now be presented with the Duo Security Two-Factor Authentication window. Here you will select your device from the device drop down selection and your authenticator (Duo Push, Phone Call, or Passcode). Once both options have been entered, please click the Log in button.

3. Once you’ve validated the second factor request (either through application push, telephony response, or passcode) you should now be on the Citrix Web Interface page.

Appendix For detailed instructions on how to install the Citrix Receiver on Mac OSX 10.5, 10.6, or Newer, please follow these steps: 1. Click on the URL for the Citrix software compatible with your device.

2. You will then see this pop up indicating the file is downloading. Once the download is complete, click on this file.

3. You should then see this pop up where you will click on the yellow box.

You will see this for Mac 10.6/10.7.

You will see this for Mac 10.5.

4. You might receive this security message to ensure you want to allow this install. If you do, click continue.

5. Click continue again.

6. To set up citrix receiver settings click continue.

7. Next read the license and click agree to accept the software license agreement.

8. Click install.

9. You will then be asked to enter your password to allow the file to install. Once you enter your password click OK.

10. Finally, citrix receiver is installed.
