Sidewalk Sale We would appreciate receiving items for another Garage Sale through September 24th(last day). The items may be brought to the parish hall on Thursdays between 10:00 AM & 2:00 PM. An Annulment Information Evening is scheduled for Wednesday, September 9, 2015, 7:30 PM-Our Lady of the Lake, 32 Lakeside Avenue, Verona, NJ. A staff member of the Tribunal of the Archdiocese of Newark will provide basic information about annulments; the requirements for annulments and how to begin the process of petitioning for an annulment. There will be an opportunity for questions at the end of the session. Pre-registration is not necessary, but for directions, please call the parish at 973-239-5696.

Every faith filled Catholic should encourage families with young children to teach them about the Catholic Faith. Parents decide to have their children baptized in the Catholic Church and parents are responsible for teaching their children about the Catholic Faith. While parents are the primary models for a child’s life, the parish serves to help them. By enrolling in a parish program, parents ensure that children have solid roots in order to grow in spirit and knowledge. First Holy Communion Prepara on in English is conducted over two-years with the children receiving the Holy Eucharist at the end of the 2nd school year. ConfirmaƟon Prepara on for the Sacrament of Confirma on is a two-year program with the candidates being confirmed at the end of the second year. Fee for religious educa on classes is $80.00 per child, $120.00 per family and must be paid at the me of registra on. The purchase of a catechism or text book may be required for some classes. RegistraƟon forms are available in the ves bule of the Church Our parish offers classes on Wednesday evenings at St. Adalbert’s. Beginning on Wednesday, September 16, we will meet TWO TIMES per month from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. We have a wonderful group of teachers who volunteer their time to share the wonders of our faith with the children who are the future of the church. Please spread the news and encourage a child’s faith.

Wiemy dobrze, że często zabiegani i zapracowani nie zawsze mamy czas, aby zatroszczyć się o ich religijne wychowanie. Wychowanie tak ważne, bo prowadzące do życia chrześcijańskimi wartościami na co dzień wartościami, których tak bardzo potrzebuje dzisiejszy świat opanowywany przez egoizm i konsumpcyjny styl życia. Nasza parafia pragnie służyć Wam pomocą w tym ważnym zadaniu. Nasz pogram nauki religii jest otwarty dla wszystkich dzieci należących do parafii. Również serdecznie witamy każde dziecko lub osobę dorosłą, które chcą przyjąć Sakrament Komunii lub Bierzmowania, a nie należą do parafii. Program trwa 2 lata, od klasy 1-ej do wyższych. Nasza Parafia oferuje lekcje religii we Środy wieczorem. Pierwsza 16-go Września. W tym roku wyszliśmy naprzeciw prośbom rodziców, mając na uwadze plan zajęć w szkołach obowiązkowych oraz trud dowożenia dzieci z daleka i zdecydowaliśmy, że lekcje religii będą odbywały się 2 razy w miesiącu od 6:30 do 8-ej wieczorem. Opłaty za lekcje religii : $80 za jedno dziecko, $120 za dwoje i więcej z jednej rodziny. Formy na zapisy można znaleźć w tyle kościoła. Proszę je wypełnić i przynieść z czekiem na St. Adalbert Church na pierwszą lekcję religii, 16 września. ZAPRASZAMY

Otwórz się Coraz częściej można spotkać młodych ludzi, którzy tak jak głuchoniemy z dzisiejszej Ewangelii potrzebują kogoś, kto dotknie ich oczu, uszu, serca i umysłu, a potem z całą siłą i przekonaniem powie „otwórz się". Wychodzą z takich domów i środowisk, w których z dnia na dzień tracą zaufanie do drugiego człowieka. Zasklepiają się w sobie, żyją w przekonaniu, że są nikomu niepotrzebni, ulegają poczuciu rezygnacji. Dopiero gdy zobaczą, że jest inny świat i ludzie, którzy dzięki wierze z radosnym sercem idą przez życie, zaczynają się zastanawiać, czy także ich życie nie mogłoby być inne. To co dzieje się z głuchoniemym, któremu Chrystus przywraca zdrowie, przypomina w jakimś stopniu sytuację człowieka, który po latach życiowej pustki nagle odkrywa, że jest inny świat i inne życie niż to, które zna. Otwierają się jego uszy, rozwiązuje język i zaczyna - „prawidłowo mówić". Niech czytana dziś w naszych kościołach Ewangelia poprowadzi nas w dwóch kierunkach. Po pierwsze, zapytajmy siebie samych, czy nie potrzeba nam zupełnie nowego otwarcia na Boga i drugiego człowieka. Po drugie, starajmy się dostrzec ludzi, którzy oczekują na kogoś, kto przyprowadzi ich do Jezusa, aby i oni mogli usłyszeć proste, ale stanowcze
wezwanie „otwórz się".

Czynimy to poprzez wspólną modlitwę, szczególnie w intencji tych osób, których nazwiska zamieszczone są w biuletynie parafialnym. Pragniemy też odwiedzać chorych z posługą duszpasterską w szpitalach i domach opieki. Please call the parish office (908-352-2791) prior to delivery. Treasures from our Tradition Back to work we go! Summer break is over and there is much to accomplish in school and in the workplace. It’s a venerable Catholic custom to assign patron saints to the trades and occupations of life. This is largely in the realm of popular devotion, and although from time to time the Vatican declares a saint to be patron of this or that, the process is free-wheeling and just about as uncontrollable. Still, there is a saint for almost any purpose whether you are on death row (Dismas), having eye trouble (Lucy), or pursued by poisonous toads (Hubert). Medieval guilds would often associate themselves with heavenly patrons, so Saint Joseph has the carpenters, Thomas More the lawyers, and physicians get Saint Luke. If you’re stuck in the airport, St. Joseph of Cupertino is on call since he was said to rise off the floor when he prayed, and if you’re in a long line at the ATM, Saint Anthony Claret is for you.
