The RIC Academy CE programs help you keep abreast of changes in your field. The curriculum is grounded in evidence-based practice, when appropriate, as well as based on the collective clinical experience of our staff. RIC A cademy courses are taught by interdisciplinary teams of recognized specialists from RIC and visiting experts from across the country and around the world. COURSE DESCRIPTION This course will provide a comprehensive review of key concepts, interventions, and principles of rehabilitation nursing care across the continuum. WHO SHOULD ATTEND This course will provide current information for Registered Nurses working in various types of rehabilitation settings or caring for people with disabilities. This course will also be helpful for Registered Nurses interested in taking the CRRN Certification exam offered semi-annually in June and December by the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses Certification Board. COURSE OBJECTIVES D ef i ne the nursing role w ithin the interdisciplinary team and the scope of practice of rehabilitation nursing. D escri be the characteristics of the patient populations w ho utilize rehabilitation services. D i scuss common problems seen in this patient population and interventions used to manage them. D i scuss goals used to help individuals cope w ith the changes in their lives and return to the community so that each may resume the life of his/ her choice. REFUND POLICY A ll cancellations must be in w riting. Refunds less a 20% administrative charge w ill be given until October 14, 2015. RIC reserves the right to cancel or change any programs for due cause. Cancellation of a program by RIC w ill result in a full refund of tuition.
