Register and Create a Personal Fundraising Page 1) Click “Register Here” and choose to Join as an Individual, Join a Team, or Start a Team (This will automatically assign yourself as team captain) and select Continue.

2) Either create a Username and Password manually or proceed by using your preferred social media login.*If you choose to create your own Username and Password manually, be sure to make your username unique. For example, instead of Jdoe for Jane Doe, insert a number such as JDoe_73.

3) Complete the registration form. Be sure to select a T-shirt size and get a head start on your fundraising progress by making a donation during this process. 4) Click Continue. 5) Complete payment information. Click Continue. 6) Click Continue.

7) Help the Alpha-1 Foundation spread the word about the Alpha-1 Hero Walk by posting on your Facebook, Twitter or Yahoo page that you registered for the event. Invite others to join you! 8) Scroll to the top of the page and you should see that you are logged in. Click My HQ to enter your Participant HQ where you may personalize your personal fundraising page, send emails to friends and family, and view your fundraising reports.

Personal Fundraising Headquarters When a team captain logs into My HQ they are provided with a snapshot of their fundraising headquarters. Tips on how to get started creating your personal fundraising webpage, emailing friends and family and view reports. Email statistics allow you to see: • • •

Monitor your fundraising and track your progress.

Number of messages sent Visits to your fundraising page Number of donations given through your page

Let your friends know about your fundraising efforts. Publish status updates to your personal Facebook and Twitter pages directly from your headquarters which also provides a link to your to raise awareness and funds.

Inside Personal HQ My Webpage Click on the “My Webpage” Tab and click Edit Personal Page to customize your header, upload your favorite image or choose from images provided in the Image Library. Personal Page Customize your Webpage Title and either upload an image or choose an image provided in our Image Library Customize your image caption and edit the text on your webpage. After updating your personal fundraising page and/or team page, be sure to click Submit to save your changes.

Email Center Choose an email from the Email Template library, or create your own. Send emails to your friends, family and colleagues asking them to support your fundraising efforts.

Import email contacts from Yahoo, Gmail or Hotmail into your headquarters. Use Outlook? Export your Outlook contacts and import them as a .csv file Click the drop down menu to select an email template already provided for you. Do you have a personal story that provides a reason why you are helping us fundraise? Create your own email by selecting the Blank template.

Report Center Your personal HQ has a reporting center where you can keep track of all of your friends, family and colleagues who donated on behalf of your fundraising efforts. Select donors from your report list and click Send. This will automatically send you to the Email Center and have your selected donor’s names and email addresses populated ready for you to type a message and send.

Tip: Towards the end of the Fundraising Campaign, click the Check All/Clear All icon and click Send in order to send your friends, family and colleagues who supported you in reaching your fundraising goal a thank you note for supporting your efforts. Perhaps even tell them how much fun you had during the day of the event and encourage them to join you next year.

Tools Use this area to update your profile or download a printable donation form to mail us offline donations. The form is customized with your name so when we receive your donation, we will make sure you see the amount reflected on your fundraising page. Offline Pledge Entry and Print Donation Form An offline donation form is available for you to print and send in your offline payments to ALPHA-1 FOUNDATION. Your name and our organization’s address are on the form. Enter offline donations you have received in the Pledge Entry area before you mail them to our organization to ensure you receive fundraising credit for these contributions. Once the check has been received and confirmed it will be reflected in your fundraising totals.

Edit Profile Information Did you move or change your email address during the campaign? Update your profile information here.

Also, inside the Edit Profile area you may: • •



Change your fundraising goal, or how you participate. Did you just find out that your friend created a team and now you want to join them? Take care of that here, or start your own fundraising team and recruit your friends to join your fundraising efforts. Choose whether you would like to receive email notifications when someone donates through your page or joins your team (if you are a team captian).
