April Regional Council Meeting minutes will be presented to the body for approval at the Council meeting. Correspondence Secretary Report Report posted on Region XI website. Receipt of Shirt orders. Receipt of checks for hospitality, regional dues, 990s, and Form 4s. Check received from the Director of CFC (South Puget Sound). Certified letter for April Powers-Matthews. Letters to Rochelle Bryant and Immediate Past Shirley Jones. President’s Report Report posted on Region XI website. Highlights from the report: o President Allen briefly discussed possible revisions to the Council by-laws as it relates to revenue sharing. o President Allen has asked Kevin and April to distribute revenue sharing checks at the end of the council meeting. o President Allen acknowledged chapters who were in compliance; the corporate sponsorship we have received thus far and Immediate Past Shirley Jones’ efforts in making those happen; and Christian Blackmon for the success of NOW Generation and the Young Government Leaders Professional Development series in collaboration with Management Concepts. o President Allen encouraged chapters to participate in each other’s programs. Treasurer’s Report (reports are only distributed at Executive Committee and Council meetings) April Powers-Matthews reported out balances. The 990 and IRS paperwork has been submitted to the National Office. The CFC application has been accepted and is being voted upon by the LFCC members. The January’s and February’s Treasurer Reports were submitted to the Audit Chair for review. March report will be submitted this month. Financial Secretary Report (reports are only distributed at Executive Committee and Council meetings) Chapter dues: received 32/57. 990s and IRS e-Post Card: received 5/57 (Regional) 38/57 (National) Hospitality dues: received 12/57 Form 4s: received 31/57 Board of Directors Report posted on Region XI website. President Allen stated she has added “Chapter Challenges” to the agenda. Chapter Concerns - NONE

Conference is May 21, 2016. o Planning is being finalized for the Region XI Youth competitions. o The last STEM resource call will be April 12th. Audit – Kenneth Keys (Absent) Awards – Glynis Hill o Report posted on Region XI website. o Nominations for DSHOF and Prestigious Awards are now being accepted. May 23rd is the deadline for all nominations/submissions. Bylaws & Resolutions – Shirley Suggs o Report posted on Region XI website. Communications – Kristina Williams o Report posted on Region XI website. o Region XI received the Constant Contact Award from Google. Community Service & Outreach – M. Deloatch-Speight & Michael Burt o Report posted on Region XI website. o Soliciting Volunteers for DC Kitchen in June. EEO – Carolyn Thompson o EEO Roundtable will be April 23, 206. Chapter Presidents need to be in attendance. Fundraising –Donna Harper o Report posted on Region XI website. o Bowling Bash will be Friday, April 15, 2016. Cost is $25 per person. Eighty-five (85) tickets sold to date. o NTI shirts will be Athletic Gold in color, at $25 per shirt. Thirty-nine (30) orders received to date. The shirts can be ordered until April 9th. o 95 commitments (Nine and a half tables) to date have been committed for the holiday gala. o Fourteen (14) BIG Lapel Pins sold. Pins will be available for sale. Cost: $10.00 for a regular pin and $20.00 for Lapel Pin with Life Member rocker.

Sign up for it on the website. o Participation needed in forthcoming food drive. Hospitality – Royce Slade Morton o Report posted on Region XI website. Market and Strategic Planning – Rochelle Bryant o Report posted on Region XI website. o Reworking the design of the Region’s strategic operating plan. Unfinished Business o President Allen discussed being approached about distribution of the financial reports. There was some discussion among the committee about the appropriate recipients. New Business o Revenue sharing checks will be distributed at the end of council meeting. o April is National Financial Literacy month. Good of the Order o April Powers-Matthews and Kevin Coleman will be working on the NTI 2009 and 2010 financial report. o Rochelle Bryant stated the Region should be receiving CFC checks from Coastal Carolina in the amounts of $7.44 and $67.17. She will follow up if necessary. o Donna Harper, reminded everyone of the ongoing fundraisers (shirts, bowling, pins, and gala). o Kevin Coleman acknowledged April Powers-Matthews efforts.
