Optional thermowells provide protection and enable the RTD to be removed without stopping the process. RTD

ifm temperature sensors use both Pt100 and Pt1000 Resistive Temperature Detectors (RTD) for temperature measurement. The Pt1000 RTD is a platinum resistor that exhibits a resistance of 1000 Ω at 0 °C, and the Pt100 RTD exhibits a resistance of 100 Ω at 0 °C. Platinum is used because of its good stability and superior linearity over thermocouples. Temperature is sensed by measuring the change in resistance of the RTD.

Temperature Switches

TK Series

TK Series temperature switches with no moving parts offer long life-in-application With no moving parts to stick or bind in the process, ifm’s TK Series switches maintain high performance and long term stability. The compact temperature switches feature an integrated 316 stainless steel RTD probe that can be directly mounted into a pipe or tank. • Two setup dials rotate to establish setpoint and resetpoint. • High accuracy RTD ensures that the setpoint does not drift and calibration is not required. • Durable housing with 316 stainless steel wetted parts. • Models with 2 switching outputs available.
