Intermodal and Environment Since 2004 thanks to block train transportation;  The traffic between Turkey and Germany is eased and potential harms to environment caused by traffic accidents, noise and load damages are decreased.  By railroad transportation, energy consumption compared to land transportation is decreased by 33%. Thus, OMSAN by utilizing less fossil energy sources and non renewable sources of energy, has become a pioneer implementer of “green economy” 
