The Edge 46 has a unique design; special benefits and features include the variable angle bevel head from 15º to 60º this high speed, tipped insert, bevel head is powered by two 2.2KW 3 phase motors. The Edge 46 self feeding system is also powered and driven by an additional 2 motors which drive the automatic feeding system from the underside of the plate, this is ideal for large sheets of plate. Eliminate / Reduce The Need For Back Purging Fiback™ Weld Backing Tape is a heat resistant aluminium tape with a woven fiberglass center strip, designed to eliminate or reduce the need for purging and create a weld pool enclosure

Note: The PMM200 - Is a new generation, easy to use, portable, heavy duty machine designed for bevelling steel plates prior to welding. This bevelling machine is fitted with two milling heads each holding six inserts, allowing smooth operation and exceptional efficiency. One set of inserts can last for up to 2000 meters of bevelled steel edge and allows to work with an output around 1.5 meters/minute (depending on the amount of the metal being removed).

The PMM200 incorporates many safety features. It has a state of the art electronic control module protecting the operator, machine and tools. It is equipped with guide rolls, which make it easy and light to operate.

Fiback™ Tape can be used with carbon steel (left photo) or stainless steel (right photo), for sheet to sheet or pipe to pipe welding. The 1/4” gap between the sheet metal has been welded with .045” flux core. Notice that the fiberglass has not burned away and there is no appearance of oxidation. Fiback™ Tape consists of two outer adhesive strips separated by a woven fiberglass centre strip. The adhesive edges stick to the area surrounding the root gap with the woven fiberglass strip being positioned to the backside of the root gap.
