Purkal Stree Shakti

Purkal Stree Shakti is a social enterprise engaged in the production of textile products such as patchwork and appliqué quilts, cushion covers, utility bags and kitchen accessories. Situated in the foothills of the Himalayas near Mussourie, our aim is to empower the poor women of the several villages in the area with a steady income, so that they are treated as respected members of the society and can therefore become agents for social change.
