Quick start guide for data backup: Backup Archive Client installation for Windows 1 STEP 1.1. In order to install Backup Archive Client (BAclient) follow the link and proceed downloading of installation. https://www.deac.eu/support/user-mannuals/installation-files/en/installation-files.html From the list of files select the exe* format file without language abbreviation. Usually the necessary downloading file is the largest one (for example, 321 MB). Other files in the folder are interface language files that may be used if necessary. The files with README in the name are additional documents and more detailed information about the software.

1.2. Execute the downloaded installation file. Select file location. Click Next. After the installation is finished, the folder and the downloaded installation file can be deleted.

1.3. Select interface language for installation. Click OK.

2 STEP 2.1. If you will need additional Microsoft components, those will be offered automatically for installation. Click Install.

2.2. To proceed the installation, click Next.

3 STEP Select the default folder, as well as the rest of the default values by clicking Next at each step. See screen shots below.

4 STEP To complete the installation, click Finish.

5 STEP 5.1. Configure BAclient by using prepared configuration file sample. Sample with name dsm.opt can be found here: ftp://ftp.backuppro.eu/Windows/BA/v7r1/.

5.2. Copy and save file in the folder where BAclient was installed. If you have not changed the default download file location, it can be found here: C:\Program Files\Tivoli\TSM\baclient 5.3. Open configuration file in the text editor (for example, notepad).

5.4. Fill in fields marked with “?” sign in the Custom settings field: a) NODENAME: See section TSM Node id at https://portal.backuppro.eu. b) TCPSERVERADDRESS: See section TSM server address at https://portal.backuppro.eu. Quick Start Guide on using Management (Cloud) portal can be found here.

5.5. Additional Settings section is for additional configurations (ssl, cripts, compressions, other “management class”). These settings can be left by default.

5.6. Default Include/Exclude settings section is for changing exclusion lists. These settings can be left by default.

5.7. Default settings section is for default configuration parameters. These settings can be left by default.

6 STEP 6.1. When connecting to TSM server for the first time, it will be asked to enter user’s id and password. a) User id: TSM Node id or node name. See clause 4.4. of this Manual. b) Password: Nodespassword, which was generated automatically, when new node was created. See sub clause “c” of clause 4.4. in “Quick start guide for data backup: BaaS management(Cloud) portal here.

6.2. When connecting first time, please change the password for security reasons. Open window IBM Tivoli Storage Manager and select Utilities. From dropdown select Change Password… .

6.3. Enter current password. Create and enter new password. Click on Change.

7 STEP 7.1. Set and configure the setup for creating data backup schedule. Open TSM Backup-Archive GUI application. 7.2. In IBM Tivoli Storage Manager window select option Utilities and select Setup Wizard from dropdown menu.

7.3. In TSM Client Configuration Wizard window select option Help me configure the TSM Client Schedule. Click Next.

7.4. Proceed with the setting of data backup schedule. Click Next.

7.5. Add new scheduler by selecting option Install a new or additional schedule. Click Next.

7.6. TSM Schedule Name can be left by default. If you are using default configuration sample file, we recommend to activate option Use the Client Acceptor daemon (CAD) to manage the scheduler. Click Next.

7.7. For the following configuration steps, select the default values by clicking Next. See screen shots below.

7.8. Enter required access data in the TSM Client Configuration Wizard window: a) Node Name: TSM Node id or node name that was defined according to clause 6.1. of this Manual. b) TSM Password: node password that was changed according to the clause 6.3. of this Manual. c) Click Next.

7.9. Keep default values for the following steps. Click Next.

7.10. If you would like to start service upon completion of this wizard, activate field Yes.

7.11. Confirm your configurations. Click Apply.

7.12. Complete your configurations. Click Finish.

8 STEP Manual data backup 8.1. After BaaS installation is completed, make the manual data backup in order to check whether the program tuned correctly, as well as to enter encryption key. Select Backup.

8.2. Select the files for backup, check them and click Backup on the top menu.

8.3. Enter the encryption key. Cryptographic key is your chosen password, which will crypt your data. Only by using this key you will have an access to the backup copies. By default, the key is stored locally in order to create automated backup. Warning. Keep the encryption key in a safe place, as no data will be available without a key!

8.4. You will be reported of successful backup.

9 STEP (optional) Data restore 9.1. In order to restore data, click Restore.

9.2. In order to choose deleted or modified backup versions, select View and then Display active/inactive files.

9.3. In order to restore the necessary files, select the required for restoring file and click Restore.

9.4. Select restored file location. Click Restore.

9.5. You will be reported of successful file restore.
