EXCELLENCE IN THE AWARD MODEL
•
The Award has previously developed a quality assurance framework but this was designed as an aide to national operators and was not specifically built in to any business processes.
•
The new quality assurance process is built in to the licence standards based on 6 thematic areas and is a 6 step process.
•
Each NAA will have to go through this process in order to attain their Full licence and Full membership status November 12

The outcomes help identify : • strength and opportunities for improvement • Different people’s interpretations of the organisation’s position in each element and in the seven themes • Provide a basis for discussions with managers, staff and other stakeholders about the way forward for the organisation • Set a benchmark to be used for subsequent discussions about how or where service delivery has improved • Set a benchmark that can be used for in-depth comparisons with other organisations
