Introduction to the Education Activities Pack Welcome to the Peter Pan Education Activities Pack, which has been created by Chickenshed's Education and Performance Teams. This pack is designed to help children with different areas of learning through Chickenshed's musical version of JM Barrie's Peter Pan story, as well as pulling in wider areas of popular culture in an inclusive way. We focus on key areas such as creative writing, art, numeracy, performance , knowledge and social issues. Furthermore, we view this pack as a valuable resource to complement children's visits to see Peter Pan, either in advance or afterwards. Clear and simple instructions introduce each activity, which can be completed in a group or individually. If you have any feedback we would love to hear from you. Differentiation Note/Sheets The activities in this pack are designed for an optimum age group of between 7 and 12 years this being dependent on the amount of support giv en or the ways activities are either simplified for younger children or extended for young people at the top end of this age span. In all cases differentiating the material will always prove valuable. However, with appropriate support and simplification, most activities could be used for younger children and also with appropriate extension many could be used for older young people. For this older group it is often an interesting task to ask them, using this pack as a stimulus, to design worksheets/activity sheets/quizzes for young children.
