Public Announcement on Inviting Global Pharma Key Opinion Leaders Program Korea Health Industry Development Institute (KHIDI) is a public organization that consists of a group of experts dealing with various programs on promoting and developing health industry in Korea, while helping improve the national healthcare services.
KHIDI (Korea Health Industry Development Institute) hereby makes this public announcement in its search for overseas-based “global pharma key opinion leaders the global pharmaceutical industry” to boost the global competitiveness of the Korean pharmaceutical industry. 2013 President of KHIDI
1. Overview □ Objective ㅇ Improvement of Globalization of the Korean Pharmaceutical Industry through Networking between GPKOL(Global Pharma Leading the Global Industry) across the World and Korean Pharmaceutical Companies * What is GPKOL (Global Pharma Key Opinion Leader) (tentative name)? → It refers to an pharmaceutical expert with global expertise in all cycles to develop new pharmaceuticals from R&D planning to technical marketing.
□ Main Contents ㅇ The GPKOL Pool shall be established by pharmaceutical experts working in major advanced countries on the development of new drugs such as US, EU, ASEAN, etc. ㅇ GPKOLs shall join the global networking with Korean pharmaceutical companies in fields such as new drug development, overseas clinical Trial and approval, etc. ① Some of the GPKOLs shall be invited to Korea for a 1:1 meeting with a Korean company after workshops or seminars. - They shall give presentations on topics related to new drug development, overseas clinical trial and approval, global marketing, etc., and have open discussion (Q&A) with Korean companies. * They shall be invited to Korea twice a year (first half, second half) for workshops (for less than a 7-day stay).
②A dedicated GPKOL shall be matched to a Korean company after the application of the company for consultation. GPKOL shall provide online consultations to the company through e-mail, phone, etc.

* Contracts can be extended to 2014 depending on the GPKOL’s work performance.
□ Support and Remuneration ㅇ Expenses for Workshops - Round-Trip Airfare (Economy Class), Accommodation Expenses, and Instruction Fee * The accommodation expenses shall be decided based on the rate of KHIDI.
ㅇ Consultation Fees for Customized Online Consultation - The fee shall not be more than KRW 500,000(USD 560) per consultation. * The fee shall be paid based on the submission of reports showing the start, performance, and completion of consultation.
2. Inviting Standards and Process □ Requirement ㅇ Applicants should have more than 5 years’ working experience in new drug development, clinical trial, approval, global marketing, etc., at multinational pharmaceutical companies, FDA and NIH (US), EMEA (Europe), etc. ※ Applicants with Ph.D. in the applicable fields preferred
