Computing Department On Thursday the 5th March, 30 lucky Year 8 students were picked to spend the day with Miss Nakimbugwe to produce a 2 minute long video exploring a social problem within the school. They would then have to explain how technology would combat that problem in order to make the school a better place. The producer of the best video will win a Dell tablet. Currently, the results have not been released but Mrs Randhawa will let the winner know in assembly soon! Thank you to all those that took part. You all did extremely well! On Friday 6th March, year 10 and 11 construction students were rewarded for their efforts in class with a trip to the top of the prestigious Chatham Place high rise building. The contractor Galliford –Try have already sold the building to a Saudi Arabian company called MUSE . The students met Project Managers , Civil Engineers & Graduate Site managers. They were taken to the top of the building to see the views across Reading and had a talk on how the building is constructed.

At the end of the tour the students were given a pen and a memory stick as a memento of their visit.

On Wednesday 25th February, 9 girls fought their way in three tough games of netball. The girls that played were: Courtney Wright - (Centre) Brianna Boyce - (Goal Keeper) Amy Anns - (Wing Defence) Kaci Croft - (Wing Attack) Aurela Lleshi - (Wing Defence)

Molly Dyall - (Goal Attack) Tia Braxton - (Goal Shooter) Kaci Kellman Birch - (Goal Attack) Naomi Twyford - (Goal Defence)

The first match we played was the hardest game out of all of them and we lost against Kendrick. The second team we played against was Reading Girls , we drew against them. The third and final game we played was against Highdown, which we also drew. Well done to all the girls for all of their hard work, also a big well done to Brianna Boyce who was GK (goal keeper) who was awarded woman of the match. Courtney Wright who was C (centre) was selected by Mrs Schofield and Miss Haggis to be captain of the team. Thank you Miss Haggis and Miss Schofield for taking us there and also helping us out . We all had a great time. By Courtney Wright
