Shan Murrell I am currently working on a series of collages that use places that I have seen on my travels and where I live as inspira on. I can see a strong Caribbean influence in my work. The West Indies as a region is very important to me, having spent some of my childhood living there and this provided me with many happy memories.

Kelvin ‘Tabu’ Duberry
Mr. Duberry is a graduate of the Edna Manley College (Kgn Jamaica) and holds a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. He presently works as a Visual Arts Teacher at the Montserrat Secondary School. He also taught Art full me at Kingswood School, Romford, Essex, London. Tabu has held exhibi ons in New York, London, Holland, Boston and numerous one man shows in Montserrat. Joseph ‘Pops’ Morris’ introduc on to the world of art began under Mr. Alric Taylor at the Lee’s Primary School and further developed at the Montserrat Secondary School (MSS). It was however at the Jamaica School of Art that he acquired a Diploma in Fine Arts. Not only has he become Montserrat’s leading computer graphic ar st and designer but he is also an established off set and t-shirt printer, oil and acrylic painter, sign maker and par cularly famous for pain ng large murals. Pops is also very well known as an athlete having represented MSS and our na on many mes as coach and player in basketball and football.

Born in Georgetown, Guyana's capital, I have always had a passion and an interest in visual art even at a very tender age. I a ribute my love for drawing to Almighty God who has given me the gi edness and talent to produce work that inspires people and further elaborates on the beauty the world has to offer. I was blessed to experience an actual hawksbill turtle on the shores of Woodlands Beach appearing in the evening to engage in one of nature’s most fascina ng cycles of egg laying. It was truly a cap va ng experience! As an employee of the Bank of Montserrat Ltd. I am both thankful and proud to play a part in this year’s calendar and in support of the Montserrat Art Colony.

A creative new dawn...
Special thanks to the Bank of Montserrat Ltd. for agreeing to support our ambi ons by way of promo ng our art in a tangible way. One day soon the Montserrat Art Colony will be a thriving community that plays a vital role in the redevelopment of Montserrat.
