DESIGN RESEARCH STUDIO Design Research Studio (DRS) is Tom Dixon’s interior design and architectural arm. It is noted for its ability to express a strong narrative, an imaginative use of raw materials and a bold contemporary aesthetic.

From our London epicentre we have designed, developed and sold our products around the globe since 2002 (68 countries at last count). From Senegal to Singapore our innovative lighting, furniture, upholstery and accessories, have been making bold, functional and sculptural statements in the most contemporary restaurants, hotels, offices, shopping centres, cinemas and private residences.

Design Research Studio has been involved in important commissions in the UK and internationally, collaborating with clients such as: Greenwich Peninsula apartments, Mondrian London, McCann NYC, Joseph, the Royal Academy of Arts’ Grand Café and Restaurant Eclectic Paris. In 2011 Design Research Studio won the International Bar Award for Tazmania Ballroom at the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards.
