At Conde de Benalúa we have been producing and selling EVOO1 and VOO2 since its foundation in 1954.
Hoy en día sólo en la Almazara de Benalúa de las Villas, en Granada, en Conde de Benalúa molturamos cosechas en promedio superiores a los 34 millones de kilos de aceituna.
Today, at the Benalúa de las Villas olive press alone, in Granada, Conde de Benalúa mills harvests averaging more than 34 million kg of olives. With state-of-the-art facilities, at Conde de Benalúa we have the capacity to process up to 1,000 tons/day (40 million kg of olives per season), producing around 8.5 million litres of our own production every year.
Con instalaciones de última generación, en Conde de Benalúa disponemos de capacidad instalada para procesar hasta 1000 tons/día (40 millones de kilos de aceituna por campaña) que suponen unos 8,5 millones de litros anuales de producción propia.

SALUD Y SABOR UNIDOS Las aceitunas proceden de un total de 18.000 Has de olivares a una altura media de 900 mts. sobre el nivel del mar. El bosque de olivos más alto de Andalucía y de España, que otorga a los aceites que produce características singulares, entre las que destacan el altísimo nivel de polifenoles que contienen.

HEALTH AND FLAVOUR COMBINED: The olives come from a total of 18 thousand hectares of olive groves at an average height of 900 metres above sea level. These are the highest olive groves in Andalusia and in Spain, giving the oils they produce unique characteristics, including the very high levels of polyphenols that they contain.
OUR EVOOS RECORD UP TO 700 PPM IN POLYPHENOLS, DOUBLE THAT OF TYPICAL VALUES IN OTHER OLIVE OILS.
Contar con el sello de calidad de Denominación de Origen Montes de Granada indica que los aceites, de variedad mayoritaria Picual, cuentan con unas características especiales y un alto contenido en ácido oleico, casi un 80%, lo que significa que es menos susceptible a la oxidación y al enranciamiento. Lo que supone una ventaja ya que la conservación del aceite se prolongará en el tiempo y su vida útil será más pronunciada que otros aceites, que también sean AOVE pero con otras variedades diferentes donde ese contenido de ácido oleico sea menor dentro de los límites establecidos y donde la presencia de antioxidantes también esté muy por debajo de la presencia de antioxidantes naturales presentes en nuestros aceites de oliva virgen extra. Mª Luisa Lorenzo Tovar, profesora del Dpto. de Nutrición y Bromatología de la Facultad de Farmacia de la UGR y Jefa del Panel de Cata de la DOP Montes de Granada The seal of quality of the Montes de Granada Designation of Origin indicates that the oils, produced mainly from the Picual variety, have special characteristics and a high oleic acid content of almost 80%, making it less susceptible to becoming oxidised and rancid. This is a significant advantage, as the oil will last longer and its useful life will extend much further than that of other oils, which may also be EVOOs but made from different varieties with lower oleic acid content within the established limits, and where the presence of antioxidants is also much lower than the natural levels present in our extra virgin olive oils.
