Flush, bereits seit zehn Jahren eine optimale Lösung für das Gäste-WC: Vor zehn Jahren zählten die Flush-Handwaschbecken zu den ersten Produktserien, die Clou unter eigenem Label entwickelte und auf den Markt brachte. Mit diesem Sortiment haben wir eine Nischenlösung geschaffen, die es bis dahin noch nicht gab. Auch heute noch ist Flush mit jährlich steigenden Verkaufszahlen ein wichtiges Produkt für Clou. Es lässt sich also feststellen, dass sich das Design von vor zehn Jahren zu einem echten „Klassiker“ entwickelt hat - eine großartige Leistung von unserem Haus-Designer René Holten. Mit dieser Ausgabe von „Product in the Picture“ stellen wir Flush ins Rampenlicht.
Flush, a bestseller for over a decade and the ultimate solution for the toilet. Ten years ago, the Flush hand basin series was one of the first series that Clou introduced to the market under its own label. With this product range, we created a niche that hadn’t existed before. Flush is still a very important product for Clou, with sales figures that increase year by year. It’s clear that this ten-year-old design is a genuine classic, and that our in-house designer René Holten delivered an outstanding performance. In this edition of ‘Product in the Picture’ we are focusing on Flush.

Square, rectangular, round, or a combination of these. Flush has it all! Most of the Flush hand basins are available in various materials ranging from white or black ceramic to concrete and basalt. Together with the included drain and optional Minisuk hand basin trap, the set’s design is in perfect balance. With the Flush 6, the hand basin trap is also included. This trap, if correctly installed, allows the hand basin and the trap to form a perfect whole, just as the designer René Holten intended. Quadratisch, rechteckig, rund oder eine Kombination dieser Formen. Darüber hinaus sind die meisten Flush-Handwaschbecken in unterschiedlichen Materialien wie schwarzer Keramik, Beton oder Basalt erhältlich. Zusammen mit dem mitgelieferten Ablaufgarnitur und dem als Option erhältlichen Minisuk-Waschbeckensiphon ist das Design des gesamten Sets aus einem Guss. Bei Flush 6 ist der Siphon im Lieferumfang enthalten. Sofern er korrekt montiert wird, sorgt dieser Siphon dafür, dass Waschbecken und Siphon zu einer perfekten Einheit verschmelzen, genauso, wie sich Designer René Holten die Lösung vorgestellt hat.

Flush hand basins have been designed specifically for use in smaller toilets. There is a Flush perfectly suited for every toilet thanks to their small measurements and specific forms. For example, the Flush 3 is exceptionally shallow, while the Flush 5 fits snugly into a corner. Flush-Handwaschbecken sind spezifisch für kleine Toilettenräume gedacht. Dank der kompakten Maße und spezifischen Formen lässt sich für jede Toilette ein Flush-Handwaschbecken finden, das perfekt passt. Zum Beispiel ist Flush 3 extra flach, während Flush 5 genau in eine Ecke passt.

In order to achieve the perfect balance between design and functionality, Clou has made the drain of Flush hand basins adjustable. Placing the drain lower in the hand basin creates a more streamlined design, while placing the drain higher results in better water flow. The customer can adjust this to their own preferences. Im Bestreben, ein ausgewogenes Verhältnis von Design und Funktion zu finden, hat Clou dafür gesorgt, dass das Ablaufventil eingestellt werden kann. Je tiefer das Ventil im Handwaschbecken sitzt, desto schlanker fällt das Design aus; je höher das Ventil sitzt, desto besser ist der Durchfluss. Der Kunde kann die Einstellungen auch selbst vornehmen.

A washbasin trap is too big and bulky for a little hand basin and knocks the design of the set off balance. Especially for all hand basins (with the exception of Flush 6), Clou has developed a small trap, the Minisuk. This specially designed trap gives the set a beautiful designer finish. Ein Siphon für Waschtische ist zu groß und sperrig für ein kleines Waschbecken. Das Design des kompletten Sets ist nicht ausgewogen. Speziell für alle Waschbecken ausgenommen Flush 6 - hat Clou ein kleines Design-Siphon entwickelt: den MiniSuk. Dieser spezielle Design-Siphon verleiht dem Set den perfekten Designer-Look.

Clou and flush: a perfect past
Ab dem Jahr 2000 ging Clou dazu über, sich von einem Importeur / Großhändler von italienischen Design-Produkten für das Bad zu einem vollwertigen Hersteller von Design-Badmöbeln zu entwickeln. Heute bieten wir als vollwertiger Hersteller eine umfangreiche Palette an Badprodukten an. Flush war eine der ersten Produktserien, die wir entwickelten. Dieses Produkt war von Anfang an ein enormer Erfolg. Noch immer ist Flush umsatzmäßig eine der am schnellsten wachsenden Produktgruppen von Clou im In- und Ausland.
Starting in 2000, Clou began its transition from an importer and wholesaler of Italian design products for the bathroom to a complete manufacturer of designer bathroom products. We manufacture a wide range of products for the bathroom. Flush was one of our first product series, and it was a huge success from the very beginning. Flush is still one of Clou’s fastest-growing product groups in the Netherlands and abroad.

René Holten (1961) studied at the Maastricht Academy of Fine Arts and Design and at Eindhoven’s Design Academy. He worked for Wiel Arets Architects, but in 1993 decided to concentrate on product design and set up René Holten Industrial Design.

His focus lies in the furniture and sanitary sectors, and his designs have won many prizes. Holten is famed for his high-quality products: elegant, timeless, and innovative. Environmentally-friendly production forms the basis for his work.
