AN INTRODUCTION Our philosophy of contemporary Spanish cuisine has its roots in the traditional Spanish Cocina – meaning, tapas to larger plates that include the recipes and ingredients from the Iberian Peninsula. Barsa's menu is designed to celebrate the movement of the Nueva Cocina Española in what we call contemporary Spanish gastronomy. We are housed in a 19th-century heritage protected building where internationally acclaimed designer John Tong has worked to create an atmosphere of Barcelona while paying tribute to the City’s culture and immortalized artists.

PRIVATE AND CORPORATE DINING Barsa Taberna offers an exceptional experience and atmosphere for any private or corporate dining function. The 19th century building is divided into a lounge, dining room and additional spacious patio where parties as large as 150 people can be hosted. Our chefs and management are happy to help you establish a custom menu and experience for your function and given the diversity in the Spanish style of cuisine different formats of dining are available including: Stand up passed appetizers “Pinchos” and/or food stations Sit down sharing of tapas and larger plates Sit down 3-4 course individual meals

This artsy and colorful section of the restaurant still includes heritage protected masonry in addition to a Gaudi style 1500 wine bottle mosaic wall and several other Barcelona inspired art installations.

Barsa’s management, mixologist and sommeliers pride themselves on Barsa’s unique and exciting Spanish drinks program including the below:

This area includes seating for 25 + seating for 18 on high top communal tables + 15 bar seats.

- Sangria menu including 6 of the cities top ranked “best Sangrias” in the City by Taste to, Dine to and the Huffington post

This area is often used for stand up events and can host up-to 90 in that format.

-Varietals from all the famous regions of Spain including Rioja and Priorat -Spanish infused cocktail program

THE DINING ROOM “BODEGA” The dining room is the “bodega” part of the restaurant and consists of arches and beams from the original construction in the 1800s and has a true Spanish wine cellar feel and atmosphere. Awarded as top 200 designed restaurants by UK restaurants awards, John Tong (+tong tong) has done a magnificent job designing this heritage building. Barsa’s design has been featured in over 120 publications worldwide.

The semi private area seats 55 in total and can host up to 80 in a stand up format. The dining area also includes a semi separated area that seats up to 25. The space includes a 30ft light painting called a revenge of the bulls to pay tribute to Picasso and the culture of Barcelona. This space was originally used as a stable by the RCMP and vintage wine cellar by the LCBO.

THE TERRACE Situated on the historic market street and facing the iconic St. Lawrence market, Barsa’s terrace sits on a cobblestone street that is a true reminiscence of historic European passages. The patio includes two sections : Lower level seats 20 and stands 30 Multi-levelled that seats a total of 35 and stands about 50
