Printing & Photocopying Q: How do I install Follow-You printer on Windows 10? A: 1. Open the start menu and select ‘Settings’

2. Select ‘Devices’

3. Select ‘Add a printer or scanner’

4. It will search for a short while, then ‘The printer that I want isn’t listed’ will appear. Select it

Printing & Photocopying 5. Select the ‘Select a shared printer by name’ option. The queue for colour is: \\print\FollowYou-Colour Enter this, then click ‘next’. If you are prompted for a username and password, enter your UC IT username as “uocnt\” and your password.

6. If it has added successfully, you will see this message. Click ‘Next’

Printing & Photocopying 7. Select ‘Print a test page’. You will have to register your Canterbury Card and login to a FollowYou enabled MFD for the test page to print – instructions for this have been provided separately. You can set this queue as default, if you wish.

8. Repeat steps 3 through 7 to add the FollowYou-BlackAndWhite queue. The name for this queue is: \\print\FollowYou-BlackAndWhite

Printing & Photocopying Q: How do I install Follow-You printer on Windows 7? A: Staff who have SOE builds of Windows 7 will not need to use these instructions – the queues will be added automatically to your machine. If you are not running the SOE build or are using a machine that hasn’t had the queues automatically added, follow these steps: 1. Open the start menu and select ‘Control Panel’

2. Depending on how your Control Panel looks, you will either select ‘View devices and printers’ under the ‘Hardware and Sound’ category

OR Select ‘Devices and Printers’

3. Select ‘Add a printer’

5. Windows will not find the print queues we need, so select ‘The printer that I want isn’t listed’

Printing & Photocopying Q: How do I install Follow-You printer and direct print queues on Mac? A: 1. Download the installer by entering this URL into your browser http://cantm1.canterbury.ac.nz/equitrac/FollowYouPrinters.dmg

2. Open the downloaded disk image in you downloads folder.

3. Open the “FollowYou.pkg” package and follow the prompts to install the printer queues.

4. Check your “System Preferences” Printers and Scanners icon to make sure all the printers have been installed.
