3 Updates in this release 3.1 New Release Features New features for this release include the following items: •
Auto-rotation enhancement – automatic rotation of portrait input to landscape output while copying is now supported. Rotation is based on the available media and is applied when the "Media Supply" setting is set to "Auto Select".

Enhancements have been made to the scanner firmware included in this suite to reduce false jam messages.
•
French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Portuguese language support has been added (Controller version 1.1.05 and later)
3.2 Issues Resolved Copy from memory LED on the control panel is not turned off when the next document is inserted. When the "Scan Start Position" setting is changed from the default setting of 0, originals may not be recognized as standard sizes. Incorrect screen/message while scanning a collated set and there is no media loaded.

4 Installation 4.1 Embedded Controller firmware This SW can only be installed by a service technician.
4.2 Windows Driver Installation For Windows 2000 and XP, please refer to chapter 1 of the Xerox 6030/6050/6204 Wide Format Windows Driver User Guide for detailed installation instructions. These instructions are on the documentation CD that arrived with the product or available on www.Xerox.com under Support & Drivers.
4.3 PostScript Driver Installation Refer to the Xerox 6204 PostScript Driver Installation Guide for detailed installation instructions. These instructions are on the documentation CD that arrived with the product or available on www.Xerox.com under Support & Drivers. The PostScript/PDF feature must be enabled for this driver to operate correctly.
4.4 BT-PlotAssistant Installation Refer to chapter 2 of the Xerox 6030/6050/6204 Wide Format BT Plot Assistant User Guide for detailed installation instructions. These instructions are on the documentation CD that arrived with the product or available on www.Xerox.com under Support & Drivers.

5 Limitations Printing with the AutoCAD 2006 HDI Driver: When using the AutoCAD 2006 HDI Driver, the "Job Settings Parameter" must be enabled to print properly. By default, this setting is disabled. Please refer to the online help for this driver for further information.
Online Help availability: The online help features of the Postscript driver, Wide Format Scan Service, and Network TWAIN clients are not yet available.
Printing with the PostScript Driver: •
If a media source (example: Roll 1) is specified, the auto rotate and auto scaling features are disabled.
•
Automatic roll switching is not enabled.
•
PostScript Custom Page Sizes must be defined as Short Edge First.
Print Services on Web: Internet Explorer version 6.0 is required. Print Service on Web pages may not be displayed as expected with other internet browsers.
Printing with the Windows Driver: •
Installing the Windows Driver remotely on a Windows 2000 client PC may not work as expected. Installing Adobe Reader 7 or Windows Media Player 9 will load a .dll file that is missing from the Windows 2000 client.

When printing from AutoCAD, fine diagonal lines may have small breaks. The HDI driver will yield better results.
•
Driver preferences cannot be changed in a Windows 2003 Clustered Server environment.

The image orientation must be portrait when specifying a roll.

Specifying the Paper Source may not function as expected.

Printing with BT Plot Assistant: When printing from the manual feed tray, the "Auto Paper Select" option in "Job Settings" must be disabled.
Printing with Adobe Acrobat Reader: When printing from Adobe Acrobat Reader, if the output is found to be clipped, enable the advanced printing feature “Print as Image”. This will correct the problem and allow for output which is complete.
