Item #41 1865 St. Vincent, UC (My 1) with 5c Beaver ed by target cancel to Artemesia, CW. Backflap with large oval embossed “C.R. Sing Land Agent and Notary Public, Wild Lands, farm and town lots, etc etc”. $175

Item #42 1868 #15 5c Beaver ed by GWR East (AP 6 1868) plus second free strike on cover to St. Catharines. A very early example of the 5c Beaver used in the Large Queen period (issued April 1). Although the rate was reduced to 3c, this was a convenience overpayment using up “old” postage. Rare. $500
