Located in an attractive 18th century building, just a stone's throw from la Madeleine, on the corner of Rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré, the Buddha-Bar Hotel Paris is the fruit of an ambitious project synonymous with hospitality, excellence à la française and approaches to well-being from Asia. With 56 rooms, including 19 suites, the hotel is designed to offer guests a unique experience, which combines french art de vivre with exotic flavours brought by cultural, gastronomic, visual, olfactory and sensory influences from the Far East. The latest offering from the George V Eatertainment Group, the Buddha-Bar Hotel Paris is a little gem tucked away in the heart of a district that is famous around the world for its history, luxury boutiques, haute couture workshops and major cultural attractions.

The vision of Raymond Visan, creator of the Buddha-Bar concept two decades ago, and his desire to go beyond established standards, were formed during his many travels. These gave him an opportunity to absorb the cultures that are today reflected in all of his establishments. His idea: "A voyage within a voyage". His innovative vision has consistently guided all of his ambitions, inspiring cutting-edge projects to satisfy the expectations of a demanding international clientele. After bringing a breath of fresh air and a new approach to catering, Raymond Visan has launched a collection of lifestyle boutique hotels. Following in the footsteps of establishments in Prague and Budapest, the Buddha-Bar Hotel Paris today reflects the very essence of the good life and offers a welcome that meets the expectations of travellers seeking an unforgettable experience. The Buddha-Bar Hotel Paris is a 5-star establishment that combines the luxury of a high-end hotel with personalized services and attentive staff, making this a fantastic living space for stays in the City of Lights.

History & Heritage The most famous owner of this mansion, which dates from the beginning of the 18th century and is now partially protected as French national heritage, was Augustin Blondel de Gagny, a well-known art collector and Royal treasurer to King Louis XV. The pursuit of taste and refinement has continued here ever since. Previous owners have left their marks on this prestigious dwelling, which was built in 1734. They are still visible in the spirit of this historic building, which is characterized by a love of all fine things, travel, the arts and the pursuit of well-being.

In choosing this location, the Buddha-Bar Hotel Paris has become part of this heritage of the inimitable French art de vivre, while expanding its horizons to the corners of the world, and creating a unique and innovative living space in the heart of Paris. With an ambiance that recalls 1930's Shanghai, the hotel is part of a grand voyage through time and space, with leading roles now played by the establishment's guests.

A place of wonder A short walk from the Buddha-Bar restaurant, where the concept was originally launched, the Buddha-Bar Hotel Paris welcomes guests on the corner of Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. While respecting the spirit of the building in which it is located, the concept aims to create a peaceful space such as found in traditional Asian temples, carefully blended with a splash of contemporary style. Architect François Wapler, guided by the intuitions of Tarja Visan and her daughter Ilona, has created a living space entirely devoted to travel, comfort and tranquility.

As soon as you step through the period porch, under a ceiling of 90 red Chinese lanterns, which give a glimpse of what is to come, you are welcomed by a first dragon, representing life and strength, in the form of a superb mosaic in the lobby. Inlaid in dark Nepal stone, the warm colors of the dragon absorb the shimmering brightness of the scales, symbolized by the red and silver metal meshes that adorn the walls. A recurring character of the interior décor concept, this fantastic creature inspired by the land of the Middle Kingdom serves as a visual guide for guests throughout the hotel's corridors. Embroidered on the light fittings in each room, and engraved in bathroom mirrors, the dragon watches over and protects guests as they rest and relax.

Rooms & Suites Located around the inner courtyard, the Buddha-Bar Hotel Paris' 37 rooms and 19 suites offer exceptional calm in the heart of Paris. On the upper floors of the hotel, the dragon winds its ways through corridors decorated entirely with Imperial yellow silk and black Himalayan stone panels. In the rooms, subdued daylight reveals a luxurious and peaceful interior, with a bronze mural patina, oiled oak floor, wardrobes adorned with scarlet lacquer, amber silk hanging lights, every details giving the Buddha-Bar Hotel Paris rooms a noteworthy and unique style. In the bathroom, a vibrant golden and red molten glass mosaic plays with the golden reflection of the dragons engraved in the mirrors. In a round Japanese bath tub or beneath a rain shower, the refined fittings with a matt black finish add to the luxury of this unique and exceptional establishment.

Grand Historic suite The Suite de Gagny, a tribute to the name of the establishment's illustrious former owner, is located on the second floor in the master’s quarters. Beneath a four-and-a-half meter high ceiling, the 18th century frescoes and mouldings have been carefully and skillfully restored. With a total floor space of 182 sq. m, the suite boasts a 60 sq. m living room adjoining the bedroom. The 30 sq. m bathroom is one of a kind: its understated decorative scheme features patinas with traditional paint and gilding, which combine beautifully to offset the contemporary furnishings that adorn this breathtaking suite.

Large trumeau mirrors face each other, creating infinitely repeating reflections of the glittering crystal chandeliers. Beautiful pink granite chimneys adorn the bedroom and bathroom, as well as a mirrored dressing table and a luxurious gilded bathtub. The large living room can be used to host private dinners or receptions orchestrated by the Buddha-Bar Hotel Paris' Chef. This history-steeped suite also has a second room, which features a large open bathroom, as well as a boudoir, offering an outstanding base from which to explore Paris.

Courtyard & Garden Hidden away at the center of the establishment, a beautiful, 200 sq. m Parisian courtyard is home to a dining and relaxation area, well away from the hustle and bustle of the French capital. Beneath the crimson parasols, guests can eat here throughout the day, from breakfast to lunch, tea and dinner. It's also an ideal place to discover the latest creations of the head barman and mixologist in a colorful, floral setting.

Le Vraymonde Restaurant Le Vraymonde Restaurant proposes a new gustatory experience by transporting its guests in a world of savors with exceptional culinary creations. Opening out onto the inner courtyard, the restaurant, made up of five adjacent lounges, decorated with a variation of orange and saffron hues takes away its guest to Imperial China. In each of the lounges, impressive round mirrors break up the space and create infinite reflections. On the ceiling, the high-gloss lacquer reflects the amber and red-coloured hanging glass lights, like so many suspended Chinese lanterns. On the menu, the pan-Asian cuisine modern and authentic, elegantly blends Asian gastronomy with local French produce. Bold, refreshing and subtly spiced flavors delight the taste buds, unifying at every opportunity Orient and Occident. For those with a sweet tooth, the creations of our pastry Chef are served for dessert and tea. During the week, Le Vraymonde serves a lunchtime menu in keeping with the latest fresh market produce. Every Sunday from 11:30 am to 4 pm, the Buddha-Bar Hotel Paris proposes a themed brunch based on the four elements: Water, Earth, Air and Fire.
