Zakopane is the winter capital of Poland, thanks to its splendid natural scenery, its pistes and hiking trails, and a rich folk culture. You will begin your exploration of the area by taking the funicular railway to the top of Mount Gubałówka for views over the granite and limestone peaks of the Tatra Mountains. Having returned to the oldest part of Zakopane, we will visit the charming wooden old parish church and the most unique cemetery in Poland. To complete your experience, you have a chance to visit the enormous regional market and enjoy lunch in a regional restaurant serving local specialities. If you wish to find out more about this unusual region you can visit the Tatra Museum or the village of Chochołów, famous for its 150-year-old wooden log cabins and a serene atmosphere. The Tourist Route in Wieliczka is the main visiting route of the mine. There are almost 3 kilometres of meandering corridors, 800 steps, 350 of which have to be descended to reach the depth of 135 meters underground. Prepare to be amazed at the devotion and superstition that drove miners to carve figures, monuments and altarpieces into the walls of 800-year-old salt mine. The route goes through the amazing chambers (135 meters underground) and underground lakes leaves everlasting impression. Program: 10:30 – 11:30 Visit to Krakow in a comfortable golf car – the standard route that runs through the streets of the Old Town, which is on the first UNESCO World Heritage Site. Among the most important historical sights of Krakow you will see: the Cloth Hall, St. Mary's Church, the Slowacki Theatre, the City Walls, the Florian’s Gate and the Barbican, Czartoryski Museum, Bishop’s Palace where there is a famous window from which the Pope talked with people. Melex will cover a part of the Royal Route leading to the Wawel Castle from the Main Market Square, passing by Peter and Paul’s and Andrew’s churches and Kazimierz - the former Jewish district, which was the scenery of Steven Spielberg’s “Schindler’s List” film, with active synagogues and cemeteries. While on the raft you can admire interesting views of the high summits of Trzy Korony, Sokolica Mountain and surrounding of the wild nature. You will experience thrilling adventure and relax thanks to the charming, colourful Pieniny’s landscape. Program: 7:30 Hotel pick up from selected hotels and transfer to Sromowce 10:15 Dunajec river rafting - this is one of the most interesting tourist attractions in Poland and the most beautiful watershed through the limestone mountains of the Pieniny National Park. Visit to Auschwitz-Birekanu The best known place of genocide in the world. Started in 1940 as an internment camp for Polish political prisoners, Auschwitz became the centre for extermination of European Jews in 1942. During 1940-1945, the Nazis killed about 1,5 million people here, mainly Jews, but also Poles, Gypsies, Russians POWs and members of other nationalities. All over the world, Auschwitz has become a symbol of terror, genocide, and the Holocaust. All cancelations are confirmed by email by JORDAN Group Toursim Department TOURS change CHARGES: • Description of the offered tours are available at the conference website. • All prices are quoted in PLN. • No reservation can be confirmed without payment. • Deadline for tours is 20th July 2015. • Reservation made after 20th July 2015 will be made according to availability&rates. • All refunds will only be issued after the conference. • Notification of changing or cancellation has to be made in writing (e-mail) and send to Jordan Group Tourism Department on e-mail: [email protected] or fax +48 12 4229619. • Tours cancellations received before 20th July 2015 – payment will be refund. • Tours cancellations received after 20th July 2015 – the total payment of the ordered services will be charged and invoiced. • In case of no-show the full payment will be invoiced.
