PRAYER & FASTING GUIDELINES Prayer combined with fasting is a powerful way to seek the perfect will of God for your life. It also creates a God consciousness. Prayer is how we communicate with our heavenly father. It is what connects us to God and how we receive and hear from him while the fasting part of this exercise helps to get our body in control and subdue our flesh. Subduing the flesh puts your spirit in control, thereby you can make decisions as led by the Spirit of God.

Why 10 Days? The number 10 represents God’s number of divine order. I believe this will be a time where God will realign every area of our lives that’s out of alignment with His will (Spiritual, Emotional, Financial, Health, Relational etc.) 1 Corinthians 14:33 - 33 For God is not a God of disorder but of peace—as in all the congregations of the Lord’s people. The type of fast you choose is optional i.e. Full fast (Liquids only), Partial Fast, Daniel Fast. Read Isaiah 58 to learn more about the kind of fast God desires.

There are several types of fasting. The one you choose is between you and God. He will honor your best sacrifice. Full Fast Drink only liquids (you establish the number of days). The Daniel Fast Eat no meat, no diary, no sweets, no fried food and no bread. Drink water. Eat fruits and vegetables. Click Here To Learn More Partial Fast A partial fast (abstinence from food) is from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm or from sun up to sundown. You can select from three types of fasting —a Full Fast, Daniel Fast, Partial Fast or give up at least one item of food. Scripture References for Fasting Matthew 6:16-18, Matthew 9:14-15, Luke 18:9-14, Isaiah 58

During this time, you are pushing back the plate by abstaining from food for a specific period of time. You should also limit the time spent watching television. If you must watch TV, watch Christian programs. Limit personal communication via social media, text messages, and long phone conversations. Listen to Christian music only. This will help you get quiet in your mind and spirit and remove distractions so you can hear what God is speaking to you during this period of consecration. There’s so much noise going on around us than we realize.

Take this time to seek God with all of your heart for answers in various aspects of life. 1 Chronicles 28:9 - 9 And you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father [have personal knowledge of Him, be acquainted with, and understand Him; appreciate, heed, and cherish Him] and serve Him with a blameless (whole) heart and a willing mind. For the Lord searches all hearts and minds and understands all the wanderings (imaginations) of the thoughts. If you seek Him [inquiring for and of Him and requiring Him as your first and vital necessity] you will find Him; but [a] if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever! Jer 1:12 - Then said the Lord to me, You have seen well, for I am alert and active, watching over My word to perform it. Isaiah 55:11 - So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Psalm 100:4 (AMP) - 4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and a thank offering and into His courts with praise! Be thankful and say so to Him, bless and affectionately praise His name! Philippians 4:6-7 (AMP) 6 Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition [a] ( definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. 7 And God’s peace [shall be yours, that [b]tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall [c]garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. 2 Corinthians 2:14: But thanks be to God, Who in Christ always leads us in triumph [as trophies of Christ's victory] and through us spreads and makes evident the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere. PRAYER & FASTING GUIDELINES DAY 2 & 3 – Emotional and Spiritual Well-Being Emotional – Let go of all works of the flesh i.e. bitterness, unforgiveness, anger, hurt, pride, grudges, anxiety, fear, depression etc. replace with fruits of the Spirit i.e. love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness etc. Take some time to ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you, people you haven’t completely released from your heart or completely forgiven. Psalm 139:23-24: 23 Search me [thoroughly], O God, and know my heart! Try (test) me and know my (anxious) thoughts! 24 And see if there is any wicked or hurtful way in me (Point out anything in me that offends you), and lead me in the way everlasting. (AMP, NLT) They may be people who may have hurt you in the past. Release them by saying “I forgive you and I release you”. The love of God is shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Spirit (Rom 5:5). I am a love being. I love you with the love of God so I release you and forgive you. You’ll be surprised at the stuff that will come up. Break every evil and inappropriate thought processes and patterns that are self- sabotaging and self- defeating. Cast down every imagination and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. Bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ (2 Cor 10:5). You have the mind of Christ and hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart. (1 Corinthians 2:16) Eph 4:31-32: 31Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. 32And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. James 3:16-18: For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. 17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. 18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. Galatians 5:19-23: 19Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 2 Timothy 1:7 (AMP) - 7 For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control. Psalm 28:7 - The Lord is your strength and shield. As you trust him with all your heart, He is your help. Your heart is filled with joy and bursts out in songs of thanksgiving. Phil 4:8 - Whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and appropriate [decent], whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and pleasant and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them]. Ephesians 3:16-20 (AMP) - 16 May He grant you out of the rich treasury of His glory to be strengthened and reinforced with mighty power in the inner man by the [Holy] Spirit [Himself indwelling your innermost being and personality].17 May Christ through your faith [actually] dwell (settle down, abide, make His permanent home) in your hearts! May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love,18 That you may have the power and be strong to apprehend and grasp with all the saints [God’s devoted people, the experience of that love] what is the breadth and length and height and depth [of it];19 [That you may really come] to know [practically, [b]through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses [c]mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] [d]unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and [e]become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]!20 Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]— Page 3 This document was created for the use of The Bride Prayer Group. To Him [be] glory (honor, majesty, and splendor) both now and to the day of eternity. Amen (so be it)! 2 Peter 1:5-10 - 5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; 6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; 7 and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. 8 For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins.10 Therefore, my brothers and sisters,[a] make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, Ephesians 3:19 - [That you may really come] to know [practically, [a]through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses [b]mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] [c]unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and [d]become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]! Ephesians 1:16-19 - 16 I do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers. 17 [For I always pray to] the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of Him, 18 By having the eyes of your heart flooded with light, so that you can know and understand the hope to which He has called you, and how rich is His glorious inheritance in the saints (His set-apart ones),19 And [so that you can know and understand] what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength,

PRAYER & FASTING GUIDELINES DAY 9 - Relational Life - Your sphere of influence i.e. Family, Friends, Church family, Pastors, Prayer Group, Co-workers. Pray that relationships that come to you are those that assigned to enhance your life in this season. Pray for mutually beneficial relationships. Call forth every individual and resource that is assigned to assist you in the fulfilling of God’s plans and purpose for your life and your kingdom assignment. Pray for expansion of the network of people and new relationships in business, ministry and friendships, enlargement of your territory and sphere of influence just like Jabez prayed in 1 Chronicles 4:10 (NIV) - Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request. Colossians 3:14 (AMP) - 14 And above all these [put on] love and enfold yourselves with the bond of perfectness [which binds everything together completely in ideal harmony]. 1 John 4:7, 12, 18, 20 (AMP) 7

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is (springs) from God; and he who loves [his fellowmen] is begotten (born) of God and is coming [progressively] to know and understand God [to perceive and recognize and get a better and clearer knowledge of Him]. 12

No man has at any time [yet] seen God. But if we love one another, God abides (lives and remains) in us and His love (that love which is essentially His) is brought to completion (to its full maturity, runs its full course, is perfected) in us! 18

There is no fear in love [dread does not exist], but full-grown (complete, perfect) love [a]turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror! For fear [b]brings with it the thought of punishment, and [so] he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love [is not yet grown into love’s complete perfection]. 20

If anyone says, I love God, and hates (detests, abominates) his brother [[i]in Christ], he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, Whom he has not seen.21 And this command (charge, order, injunction) we have from Him: that he who loves God shall love his brother [believer] also.

Pray for Salvation of unsaved - 2 Peter 3:9 - 9 The Lord does not delay and is not tardy or slow about what He promises, according to some people’s conception of slowness, but He is long-suffering (extraordinarily patient) toward you, not desiring that any should perish, but that all should turn to repentance.

Pray for the welfare and protection of the city you live and people in authority. Pray it produces every resource you need. 1 Timothy 2:1-4 - First of all, then, I admonish and urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all men, 2 For kings and all who are in positions of authority or high responsibility, that [outwardly] we may pass a quiet and undisturbed life [and inwardly] a peaceable one in all godliness and reverence and seriousness in every way. 3

For such [praying] is good and right, and [it is] pleasing and acceptable to God our Savior, 4 who wishes all men to be saved and [increasingly] to perceive and recognize and discern and know precisely and correctly the [divine] Truth. Jeremiah 29:7 - And seek (inquire for, require, and request) the peace and welfare of the city to which I have caused you to be carried away captive; and pray to the Lord for it, for in the welfare of [the city in which you live] you will have welfare. Jeremiah 33:9 - Then this city will bring me joy, glory, and honor before all the nations of the earth! The people of the world will see all the good I do for my people, and they will tremble with awe at the peace and prosperity I provide for them.
