All four races will be ranked together and valuable prizes will be distributed on the podium after Open Score race.

Classes and participation restrictions In World Cup Each federation may enter up to 6 men and 6 women for each competition. or the Mix Relay each federation may enter max. 4 teams of 3 riders. Each team must include at least one woman. In EJC, EYC, MOC No restrictions on the number of participants in each age class. The classes are: EJC: W20, M20 EYC: W17, M17 MOC: W40, M40, W50, M50, W60, M60 In Open Score no restriction in age or sex! All teams of two will compete in one race, but there will be two choices for each team depending on selected time limit: 1) 240 min; both members of team have to stay together for all race 2) 120 min; team can split and each member can collect checkpoints independently

Competition Rules Special Rules and Program for MTBO World Cup 2012 shall be applied. For further details on regulations please refer to the Competition Rules on the IOF-web. http://www.orienteering.org/ Special rules for the event: • Off road riding is not allowed, but in the forest competitors can carry the bike (about 20 cm above ground).

It is strictly prohibited to enter settlements (symbol 527), open and cultivated land (symbol 401, 402), orchards (symbol 412) and to cross walls (521) or fences (524). Competitors must get to all controls with their bikes. Competitors must have their SI Chips tied to the bike. Ride on the right, overtake on the left. Riders coming downhill have right of way. There will be deviation from IOF rules; start interval of long distance will be two minutes and forking system of courses will be applied.

Accommodation List of accommodations and their location is on the overview map of the event. Details and addresses will be sent on request or on the registration. In the village of event center, there are several restaurants available, as well as in all villages, where are competitors accommodated. Fast food will be offered at the finish areas of all races.

Transport The distance from Prague airport to the competition center is 45 km by the Prague Circuit road and motorway R4. The Competition Center is also well accessible by public bus or train. Bicycles are free of charge on Prague Metro (Subway) and suburban trains. Competitors DO NOT NEED any car during the event, all races are within 12 km of the accommodation (in quite flat terrains and well ridable roads). Public Transport Details - From the airport take bus nr. 100 (runs every 10 min, cost 32 CZK) to the last stop of Metro line B Zličín (yellow). Take the Metro to stop Smíchovské nádraží (Smichov station). From Smíchovské nádraží there are two options: 1) Take a train direction Beroun to the Všenory station. (Runs every 30 min, costs 30 CZK). From Všenory it is 6 km by bike to Řitka. 2) Take a bus direction Dobříš directly to Řitka. (Runs every 30 min, costs 32 CZK). However it is not possible transport a bicycle on this bus service. From railway station Praha hl. n or Branik is available train direction to Dobříš to the station Rymaně or Mníšek p. Brdy. Accommodations 3, 4, 5, 6 are close to the station, event centre 5 km. Complete timetable is http://jizdnirady.idnes.cz/vlakyautobusymhdvse/spojeni/ Transfer to and from Prague Airport can also be ordered from the Organizers. Transfer cost depends on the group size, cca 250 CZK (10 EUR). Please contact the organisers in plenty of time if you require any help or to book transport.

10. Visa permits For a list of states whose citizens are required to have a visa to enter the Czech Republic, check the official site of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic at www.mzv.cz. Visas have to be applied for at local Czech Embassies.

11. Local weather conditions The weather in May in the Prague Region is usually mild but rather wet and it can also be cold. The average temperature in May is around 18° C during the day and 7° C at night.

12. Embargoed areas: Embargoed areas are all competition areas marked on overview map of the event.

13. Maps Scales of maps for long distance and mixed relays are 1:15 000 and for middle distance it is 1:10 000. Contour interval is 5 m for all races. Sample of the map: Old maps of the area are available on www.mtboprague.cz

14. Terrain description and courses: Hilly – altitude 250 – 550 m. For the middle distance, partially rocky steep slopes and hard downhill tracks. It will be marked on the map by exclamation marks - !!!. See pictures.

Other races have moderately hilly terrain with well ridable tracks. Some small tracks dotted on the race maps are indistinct on the ground.

There are many narrow rides, which are drawn as yellow strips. These are not allowed to ride, you can just carry bike here. All possible paths and tracks for riding are marked in the map, if not, you are not allowed to ride it. See pictures.

15. Training opportunities In 2012 we recommend the Czech Cup first round in Slovakia close to Czech borders. See http://mtbo.vba.sk/. There are also MTBO training races in Prague usually every Wednesday. - look at http://www.mtboliga.cz/ We provide trainings on Wednesday and Thursday prior the event.
