Estimating the Payment with Taxes The customer’s agreed upon payment as entered into Chrome should include applicable sales tax; therefore, you need to manually estimate taxes for weekly or monthly payments based on federal, state and local taxes in your area. Streamline Enrollment Gather customer information before beginning, such as personal and business address, email address, Social Security Number and Date of Birth. If your customer is taking advantage of Direct Debit (payments direct from bank), then have handy the customer’s bank name, address, account number and routing number.

Creating Accounts and Posting Payments Once you have performed the sale you do not need to create an account unless you need to take payment immediately. If you need to take payment now, follow the steps below. Create an Account 1. Open Chrome and double click on the selected customer icon 2. Select SOC Account information tab 3. Select the Add/Update box 4. Enter the customer’s Debtor Number (Account Number) from SOC in the highlighted box 5. Select OK Set Up Payment 1. Select the Account Number 2. To establish the weekly payment in the account enter amount in Agreed Payment field 3. Select Complete Payment 4. Select OK in the Complete Order Collect 1. After the Sale: Why Customer Retention is Important You’ve probably heard it all before, but it bears repeating: Attracting new customers will cost you 5 times more than keeping an existing customer.* Tips to keep your customers in the program: One (1) month after enrollment • Ask them if they received their welcome package with Vehicle Application Guide • If they own a SureTrack eligible platform, ask them if they have used SureTrack yet. If not, show them how • Ask them if they have any questions Three (3) months • Thank them for their participation • Confirm their happiness with the program Six (6) months • Check and make sure that they have downloaded and installed their latest service release • Always deliver upgrades upon release or show customers how they can get their software by downloading it online (all products except VERUS and VERDICT, which perform the download automatically) • Ask them how they like having the latest coverage all the time

1. C  ommunication or Software Challenge? Disconnect the scanner or wireless scan module from vehicle and restart the diagnostic suite.
