We have a unique IP66 two way valve that can be fitted to boards to allow one way moisture flow and two way air flow to help eliminate condensation in harsh environments. Our large industrial multi outlet boards have multiple RCD/MCB combo’s so in the event of an earth leakage you don’t lose power to the entire board. We use 10kA breakers. All 3 phase outlets have a rotary on/off switch - you do not have to switch through the MCB - making a safer, faster disconnect time. All 3 phase outlets can be locked off at the rotary switch. All windows are padlockable using up to an 8mm padlock or scissor clip. Ours is a plug and play system - no need to hard wire. Boards are made from flame & UV resistant high impact polyethylene. We offer a variety of outlet and inlet styles with different footprints to offer greater flexibility and range. We can customise our boards to suit your individual needs. WHAT ARE BRAIDED (EARTH SCREENED) LEADS? A braided lead is internally the same as a normal extension lead. What makes it different is the addition of a tinned copper braid around the diameter of the cable that is then covered by another UV stabilised PVC outer sheath. The tinned copper braid is then connected to the earth pin at the plug and socket end, so if the lead is damaged there is more potential for the electricity to flow to the earth path tripping the RCD, or earth safety protection device, preventing electrocution to personnel and protecting equipment. Due to the inherent nature of its construction, the braided lead is far more durable and tougher than a standard extension lead and with an IP66 plug and socket, it can be used in wet and dry conditions.

POWERSAFE DUO EARTH SAFETY DEVICE

DESIGNED FOR USE WITH GENERATORS, ISOLATION TRANSFORMERS AND IN ENVIRONMENTS WHERE EARTHING IS AN ISSUE. There are many situations where a traditional RCD or RCBO does not offer protection. A traditional RCD isolates power when there is a current imbalance between the active and neutral conductors (fault to Earth). To do this the RCD generally relies on good earthing integrity and a low earth impedance. The Powersafe RCD DUO ESD offers a much broader range of protection by operating in various earthing environments. In the occurrence of a fault to earth, the RCD DUO ESD is designed to isolate power on MEN, IT & TT type systems. The RCD DUO ESD is connected to the earth circuit, which however, is not required to be grounded, so the need for earth staking generators is a thing of the past. Generally at 40 volts (the potential point to electrocute) the device will trip at 10mA. This can be altered to meet the application at the point of assembly. Unlike many other devices on the market the RCD DUO ESD has no relays or coils with moving parts and therefore is not subject to vibrations caused by generators and transportation.

Three Phase Protection The three phase RCD DUO is designed to be paired with the MCB on the supply circuit. This allows the fault condition to be easily identified. If the RCD trips there is an active /neutral imbalance. If the RCD DUO ESD trips the MCB it can be one of the following issues; an overcurrent (MCB), or a phase loss or voltage on earth fault (ESD). The RCD DUO will isolate in the event of a first fault and will allow power use without an Earthed electrical system while still offering earth fault protection. The device can be fitted to RCD if required.
