Places to go to: Universal Studios Hollywood in Los Angeles is the biggest film studio and theme park in the world. You can have a tour in the studios and learn about film-making.

Disneyland Resort is the favourite theme park of both adults (dt. Erwachsene) and children. There are many things to do and to have fun with. There is the exciting (dt. aufregend) Space Mountain rollercoaster (dt. Achterbahn) or another one called California Screaming! Lots of 3-D-movies can be watched or shows like “Monsters” or Disney’s “Aladdin” can be seen. Disneyland is close to Los Angeles – in a city called Anaheim.

You can see many different (dt. verschiedene) animals in the worldfamous (dt. weltberühmten) San Diego Zoo, for example the famous pandas. You can experience (dt. erleben) the zoo on foot (dt. zu Fuß) or take a bus tour through the park.

Beverly Hills in Los Angeles has some of the biggest homes in the US. It is great for shopping. Many rich and famous people live here. Most visitors (dt. Besucher) come here to shop. Some try to find the homes of their favourite film stars.

Six Flags Magic Mountain has rides (dt. Achterbahnen) and shows for all the family. It is a large theme park close to Los Angeles. There are 16 rollercoasters for braver (dt. mutigere) visitors. But there are also fun things for smaller children in Bugs Bunny world!

San Francisco is the home of the Golden Gate Bridge. Here you can learn about California’s culture at the Yerba Buena Gardens or the California Academy of Sciences (dt. Akademie der Wissenschaften) – or enjoy one of the many restaurants and theatres!
