PK Satellite Internet TV Box Basic Instructions. For Smart TV and Value boxes This covers the basic operation of the remote control, for changing channels etc. There may be extra features and channels being added as time goes by. I will send further updates as the features are added.

Top RED on off button turns box between standby and On . We recommend not disconnecting the power every night, leave on Standby. The box will automatically go to standby when not in use. Top left Audio on /off mutes the sound from on to off.. Centre OK Button this displays the channel list, use up and down arrows above and below to move up and down the channel list. Press OK button when on the channel you wish to view. Press info for further information on the program.. **(A) On boxes with record/remind facility Use the up/Down arrows to select a program. Press Red Button to record or Green to remind when the program is about to start. ** (B) On Boxes with Catch up facility ( a clock appears next to the Channel name if the catchup is available) Use the UP/Down arrows to select a program that has been shown earlier in the day. Press OK to watch the program. ** ( C) To Watch catch up from previous days. Press OK, use up down to select a Channel. Press Right Arrow to show Tv guide. Press Left Arrow then up?& Down arrow to select the day. Press OK ( a clock appears next to the Channel name if the catchup is available) Use the UP/Down arrows to select a program that has been shown earlier in the day. Press OK to watch the program. Press TV button at any time to return to LIVE TV. Volume + and - buttons This increases and decrease the volume the arrow < left and right > of the OK also serves the same operation. When initially installing set the volume bar that is displayed on the TV to the centre position. Now using your TV Remote control set the volume level to your normal level. You can now use the box volume control, not needing your TV remote for volume control. Channel + and - moves your viewing directly up or down to the next number channel. The arrow UP and Down above and below the OK button serve the same operation. Exit Key this returns you out of any operation to your original screen/channel. These are the basics for watching TV.

Extras Menu There is an alternative menu which allows Watching Recorded programs (Only Available with the record/ Catchup on Value box this is an optional extra contact us for details)

Watch and listen to Video and music , view photographs etc from USB device using Media player. Browsing the internet and some other popular Apps such as You Tube. These are reached by going to the system setting menu.

Press The Menu Button to access these features. To Play recordings in built in memory. (Only Available with the record/ Catchup on Value box this is an optional extra contact us for details)

Use the left right arrows to select Recordings. Press OK Use the up/Down arrows to select the recorded program you wish to view . Press OK You can use the Fast forward, Rewind, Stop, Pause/Play buttons similar to using a DVD/VCR player.

To save a program you have recorded onto an external USB memory device. Connect the device into either of the available USB ports. Select a recorded program as above. Press the Yellow button DOWNLOAD. Press OK This will be saved to the device. ( this can take some time depending on file size ) There is limited built in recording space available on the box. You will need to either Download or Delete recordings from time to time to make recording space available., for further recordings. To Play programs video music and photo files that are loaded onto any usb memory device inserted in an available usb port. Press Menu button select MEDIA BROWSER press OK After Highlighting the device using the up,down left right arrows press OK use up down to select media to be played, Press OK. It will now play. You can use the Fast forward, Rewind, Stop, Pause/Play buttons similar to using a DVD/VCR player. Press EXIT or to come out of this back to play list menu.or TV button to return to live TV Video Club Press Menu. Use left/right arrow until video club is centre. Press OK. Use up/down arrow to select Film. Press OK to view. Fast forward rewind and pause available.

INTERNET BROWSER This enables you to browse the internet. After Highlighting it using the left right arrows select Internet press OK this will take you to Google, When in this Application by pressing the KB button a virtual keyboard will appear on screen. Using the UP Down Left ,Right keys and the OK key you can enter your URL as on a normal keyboard. A wireless or USB keyboard or mouse can be added to use in this mode. YOU TUBE play videos and music featured on you tube. After Highlighting it using the left right arrows press OK use up down to select Press OK. To search for media press the yellow button. 4 Settings Menu We advise you not to go into any menu in this you do not understand. DO NOT change Values DO NOT do any Manual Downloads or UPDATES. This can render the equipment inoperative. The box will have to be returned to us for re programming. There will be a charge plus postage costs for this. Pin numbers for Adult Channels can be changed in this. Localisation is safe to enter. You can set your local time and your nearest city location for weather forcast. Video. This can be changed to set the output to match your TV. DO NOT CHANGE the settings if you have an Older non HD TV. Changimg this will disable the AV output. Do not change this if the AV output is being used for other devices such as surround sound , external music system amplifier, Video recorder, AV wireles sender/Modulator to other TV's If in doubt call us first. If you are happy continue with instructions If you have an HD TV and are connected via an Hdmi cable. Select Video press OK. With video output mode hi lighted press the right/left arrow to select your HD tv definition. The normal is 1080i-50 press down aroow until OK is hi lighted press OK When you exit the box will either ask you or will re-boot the box. This is required to change the settings.

Info Portal This has some Free on screen games available TO EXIT THIS MENU AT ANY TIME. You can either select TV or Exit buttons to get back to your main TV screen.

5 Connection There are 3 methode of connecting the box to your internet. 1/ connect the box direct to the internet adsl router using an Ethernet/LAN cable.(not provided) See illustration below

If your router is not covenienly situated to connect direct to the router, you will need to use either a wifi connection or a powerline connector. Wifi connections These are good if you do not live in a property with thick walls or where the signal is passing through a few wall and cieilings, as these all cause signal loss. Email us for instructions if these have not been included with your box..

Powerline connectors. These are far more efficient at passing a signal through a property. One connector is fitted into the electric socket next to your router. This is then connected to the router via ethernet cable provided The other is connected to any electric socket in the house near the TV. This is then connected to the box via ethernet cable provided. The internet signal is then sent via your house electric cables with very little if any signal loss. See Diagram below.

7 Reset and Reboot If you experience a short break in reception of Internet. It is possible that the channel or box can lock up and stop running. If this happens and the picture freezes there are 3 steps you can take. 1/ Reload the Channel Press the TV button on the remote, this reloads the channel. If this did not work go to 2 2/ Reload the portal Press Menu button on the remote. Right arrow until SETTINGS is in the centre. Press OK button down arrow to Hilight RELOAD PORTAL Press OK , left arrow to hilight OK. Press OK. If this did not work go to 3 3/ Reboot the box Press Menu button on the remote. Right arrow until SETTINGS is in the centre. Press OK button down arrow to Hilight REBOOT. Press OK , left arrow to hilight OK. Press OK. If non of these work. Check there is not a message at the top of the screen. Connection Problem. If there is. The box is not receiving any internet connection. Check your internet is functioning check your internet connection cables. After a power cut interuption. The box can sometimes reboot quicker than your internet router. If this happens the box will not function. Give the internet time to re-connect then turn off the power to your IPTV box. The box should reboot and return normal operation.

Value , Smartsat, UK/ROI box Wifi Connection Instructions For All MAG 250 Boxes. Before starting this process make sure you have the following information. Network ID/Name Password/Pin/Clave This information is normally on the bottom of the router. If you do not know this information. You will need to contact your Internet provider, who should be able to advise you. Follow the instructions below. Step by Step. Connect the box as per connection instruction to the TV using either the supplied AV connector or an HDMI cable from the HDMi port on the box to an available port on the TV. Insert the WIFI Dongle into spare usb port either at the front or rear of the box. Connect the power to the Box. You should see an activation screen on the TV,. If not you will need to select the input you have connected the box via to your TV on your TV remote control. You should after a short time see a screen saying PAGE LOADING ERROR. On the screen you should be able to see 4 coloured Spots. On your IPTV box remote press the Blue button. Next you should see NETWORK hilighted in Red. If not use your up, down, left, right arrows until it is. PRESS OK. use your up, down, left, right arrows to highlight WIRELESS WIFI Press OK use your up, down, left, right arrows to highlight AUTO (DCHP) Press OK Use down arrow to highlight SCAN Press OK. You will see all the Wifi systems that are detectable by the Box. Shown on screen.. Use up/down arrows to select your router network Press OK.

Use Down arrow to highlight Key or Passphrase box. PRESS KB button on remote, a virtual keyboard will show on screen. use your up, down, left, right arrows to select the letters and/or digits that make up your PIN/Clave. Press ok when you have the desired letter number highlighted. There is a Cap key to the left to change from upper to lower case. Passwords ARE case sensitive.
