PIKES PEAK COG RAILWAY The Cog departs from historic Manitou Springs for a ride on a modern Swiss made train to the summit of Pikes Peak. For over 100 years, the world's highest cog railway has been transporting passengers in safety and comfort to the 14,110-foot summit of Pike's Peak.

The adventure starts by following a cascading stream through a steep

canyon filled with dense pines and gigantic boulders. Then the train starts its climb above timberline. At over 11,500 feet, the only animals that inhabit this alpine tundra are the yellow-bellied marmot and Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep. On the final leg of the ascent is an unparalleled view of Manitou and Colorado Springs. The red rocks of Garden of the Gods are nestled into the valley below, and the Great Plains stretch eastward as far as the eye can see. This sight inspired Katherine Lee Bates to write "America the Beautiful"! When you reach the summit, it is possible to see Denver (75 miles to the north) and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains pushing south into New Mexico (100 miles away). To the west lies the boisterous town of Cripple Creek and mile upon mile of snow-capped giants that form the great Continental Divide. The trains travel at about eight miles per hour, giving photographers and sightseers ample time to take in the magnificent panoramas. During your stay on the summit, you may refresh yourself in the Summit House. Amenities include a gift shop, information services and a snack bar. Due to the cooler temperatures at the peak, (up to 30 degrees cooler than Colorado Springs) it is suggested that you bring a warm jacket or sweater. If you have a history of severe cardiac or respiratory problems, it is advised that you consult your doctor before making the ascent. **DRESS WARMLY. IT WILL BE COLD ON THE TOP OF THE PEAK** $75.00 per person Price is inclusive of taxable 23% service charge and 10% sales tax & fees Includes transportation & gratuities

SEVEN FALLS

(TBD – Currently closed due to the 2013 floods) Seven Falls has been called "the Grandest Mile of Scenery in Colorado". The tour will pass between the towering Pillars of Hercules, where the canyon narrows to 42 feet. As you continue along the box canyon, you will see unique rock formations through the mountain foliage, leading to the cascading falls. The wildlife within the canyon is abundant. Native hummingbirds dart in and out of the pines, shining rainbow trout flash in the crystal-clear pond, and if you are lucky, you may even get a glimpse of a water ouzel, a rare bird that nests beneath waterfalls. A new express elevator which tunnels 170 feet into the mountainside will whisk you 130 feet up, through the mountain itself to the Eagle's Nest Platform, with the best view of the seven separate falls as they splash and tumble 181 feet down the sheer granite cliff. Beside the falls, a 224-step stairway leads to a mile-long nature trail and a panoramic overlook of both Colorado Springs and the plains of eastern Colorado. $55.00 per person Price is inclusive of taxable 23% service charge and 10% sales tax & fees Includes transportation & gratuities
