PV 101: Introducing Key Definitions Personal Volume – The total Qualifying Volume (QV) of a single Fragrance Consultant from orders placed personally and by their customers (orders placed directly with the company by customers through a Consultant’s personal website and orders placed on the corporate website that are credited to them on a rotating basis). Personal Volume Net (PV-Net) – The Personal Volume (PV) derived from non-Fundraiser Orders based on the Qualifying Volume (QV) from each order placed or sold by the selling Fragrance Consultant. PV-Net is used to determine the Personal Volume Override percentage. Qualifying Volume (QV) – The Qualifying Volume (QV) in Gold Canyon’s Career Plan is usually derived from the U.S. Retail Price. The same SKU in each market will have the same QV assigned to it so the QV total can be determined across borders.

Understanding How Your Title Affects Your Income Career Title A Fragrance Consultant’s Career Title is their recognition title or the highest title they have achieved. A Consultant’s Career Title does not change, unlike a Paid-As Title, which may vary from month to month. Career Title determines a Consultant’s eligibility for different incentives or programs offered by Gold Canyon.

Paid-As Title Your Paid-As Title is the title that determines your paycheck. Your Paid-As Title is determined by your monthly performance. If, in any period, you fail to achieve your Career Title level, you are paid at the lower title for which you do qualify during the period. You retain your Career Title for recognition purposes. Simply put, if you have an off month, you will receive compensation at the title for which the requirements are met (your Paid-As Title), but keep your highest earned title (your Career Title).

In Good Standing Consultants must have a minimum of 250 Personal Volume (PV) per quarter to remain a Consultant and keep their Team. If they fail to meet this requirement in any quarter, they will be canceled. Their Level 1 is compressed to the next upline Consultant in Good Standing. New Consultants’ quarterly PV requirements do not start until their first complete calendar quarter. See glossary for details.

Fragrance Consultant (FC) Fragrance Consultant is the entry level title. As a Fragrance Consultant, you earn from 25% to 36% on everything* you sell! The more you sell, the more you earn.

What does it mean to be Active? Active Consultant – A Consultant must maintain at least 250 Personal Volume (PV) to be considered Active for that period; one period is equal to one month. A Fragrance Consultant is NOT required to be Active (meet 250 PV per month) to be paid on their personal sales. They must, however, meet the 250 PV quarterly minimum each quarter to avoid cancellation and remain in Good Standing.

Introducing Key Definitions Level – The place a Consultant occupies in an organizational genealogy structure relative to another Consultant in the same organization. Consultants personally sponsored are Level 1 or Frontline. Those Consultants sponsored by Level 1 Consultants are Level 2, relative to the original Consultant. Level does NOT refer to title or rank. Customers are not considered when counting Levels and do not occupy a position in a Consultant’s genealogy. Team Volume (TV) – The Qualifying Volume (QV) or Personal Volume (PV) of all members of your Team (Levels 1, 2 and 3), including yourself. Team Volume requirements must be met monthly. Commissionable Volume (CV) – Each inventory item has both a Qualifying Volume (QV) and Commissionable Volume (CV) assigned to it. CV is the volume on which commissions are paid and is based on the local currency of the country in which the volume is created. In this plan, the CV will typically be 75% of the retail price for most products and typically 50% on fundraiser products. The company may determine that some products will be assigned a lower CV value. Sales aids and tools will have zero QV and CV.

Team Leader (TL) Team Leaders have proven that they consistently and effectively work their businesses and help others in their Team do the same. A Team Leader has five Personally Sponsored Active Consultants (PSAs), one of which is a PSA Leader or higher. Again, volume drives earnings! A Team Leader leads by example with 1,200 in Personal Volume (PV) and at least 7,500 in Team Volume (TV). Team Leaders are recognized with a $250 Advancement Bonus when they promote for the first time and their next upline Paid-As Team Leader or higher is Eligible to receive a Team Leader Matching Advancement Bonus of $250 also! To sweeten the deal even more, Team Leaders may from time to time become eligible for additional recognition rewards such as jewelry and incentive trips for leaders.

It Just Makes Sense! Overbuild Your Team It is important to note that the volume and sponsoring requirements are only minimums. To make the most of your title payout from month to month, it is smart to overbuild your Team.

As a leader, not only do you get paid on the sales within your own Team (three Levels deep), you also get paid a monthly bonus on the Team Leaders and above that you develop. When a Team Leader develops below you, this is referred to as a Team Leader (TL) Leg. A TL Leg starts with the Level 1 Consultant and everyone below them where at least one is paid as a Team Leader. The more TL Legs you develop, the more monthly Leadership Development Bonuses you earn because the Leadership Compensation Plan is designed to increase your earnings when you help them advance to Team Leader and beyond. what to know & how you earn

A Generation is the relationship between one Team Leader or higher and another Team Leader or higher in their organization. It describes the relationship between you and the next Team Leader and above when there are no other Team Leaders and above between you and the next Team Leader below you. For every Qualified Generation you have, you are Eligible to get a monthly Leadership Development Bonus! Refer to the Title Compensation & Requirements on pages 76-77 to see just how much you can get paid on your Active Qualified Team Leader Legs.

More about Generations: • If a Team Leader or higher is not paid as a Team Leader, they are not considered a Generation to their upline Team Leader or higher because Generations are based on their Paid-As Titles. • Because titles of Consultants between you and the next Team Leader and above in your organization may change from month to month based on Paid-As Titles, it’s important to note that your Generations are not static.

Senior Team Leader (STL) The difference between a Team Leader and a Senior Team Leader is simply that one person from your organization has developed into a Team Leader. All other requirements of this title are the same as the Team Leader requirements. Glossary To be successful in your home-based business, it is important to understand the terminology unique to the direct sales industry and to Gold Canyon. Take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with this Glossary of Terms. You’ll feel more confident in your business and the opportunities awaiting you! Active Consultant A Consultant must maintain at least 250 Personal Volume (PV) to be considered Active for that period; one period is equal to one month. Advancement Bonus – Leader When a Consultant is promoted to Leader for the first time, they will receive a one-time/lifetime bonus paid on commissions for the month the promotion occurs following the advancement. The next person above them who is paid as a Leader or higher is eligible to receive a Matching Bonus. The bonus is paid on the commissions for the month the promotion occurs which are paid the month following the advancement. See Advancement Bonus (Matching) – Leader and the Leadership Compensation & Requirements Chart on pages 76-77. Advancement Bonus (Matching) – Leader A Consultant will receive a Matching Leader Advancement Bonus when they have a Consultant in their organization promote to Leader for the first time who does not have another Paid-As Leader between them. To receive this Matching Leader Advancement Bonus, a Consultant must be paid as a Leader or higher in the same period that the promotion occurs. If the Consultant is not paid as a Leader or higher, then this bonus is paid to the next person above the newly promoted Leader who is paid at Leader or higher. The bonus is paid on the commissions for the month the promotion occurs which are paid the month following the advancement. See the Leadership Requirements & Compensation Chart on pages 76-77. Advancement Bonus – Team Leader When a Fragrance Consultant is promoted to Team Leader for the first time, they will receive a one-time/lifetime bonus paid on commissions for the month the promotion occurs following the advancement. Their upline Team Leader is eligible to receive a Matching Bonus. The bonus is paid on the commissions for the month the promotion occurs which are paid the month following the advancement. Advancement Bonus (Matching) – Team Leader A Fragrance Consultant will receive a Matching Team Leader Advancement Bonus when they have a Consultant in their organization promote to a Team Leader for the first time. To receive this Matching Team Leader Advancement Bonus, a Consultant must be paid as a Team Leader or higher in the same period that the promotion occurs. If the Consultant is not paid as a Team Leader or higher, then this bonus is paid to the next person above the newly promoted Team Leader who is paid at Team Leader or higher. The bonus is paid on the commissions for the month the promotion occurs which are paid the month following the advancement. See the Leadership Requirements & Compensation Chart on pages 76-77.

Base Commission The Base Commission (Retail Profit) is paid to Fragrance Consultants on orders placed by their customers based on the difference between the Consultant price and the Customer price. The Consultant does not need to achieve the 250 PV minimum to receive their Base Commission in any month. The Consultant keeps the retail profit when remitting payment to Gold Canyon for Personal Orders and the amount entered under their own name as a guest on Mixer Orders. All other Base Commissions are paid to Consultants by Gold Canyon via direct deposit or check once a month. This term is interchangeable with Retail Profit. Booking A scheduled Scent Mixer (for example, a specific commitment from a future Host) is called a booking. Cancellation Policy Fragrance Consultants must have a minimum of 250 Personal Volume (PV) in a calendar quarter in order to remain a Consultant and keep their organization. The quarterly minimum requirement will begin in the calendar quarter following the quarter in which they enrolled. If they fail to meet this requirement in any calendar quarter, they will be cancelled, which causes them to be removed from the company organization. Their organization will be compressed to the next upline Consultant who is in Good Standing based on the rules as described in the Policies. They will also lose their title. Career Plan The Career Plan is the Compensation Plan of Gold Canyon. It defines the multiple ways in which a Fragrance Consultant can earn commissions, receive recognition and achieve incentives based on the performance of that Consultant or that of his or her organization. There are detailed Career Plan resources at www.GoldCanyonUniversity.com under the Training Toolbox tab. Career Title A Fragrance Consultant’s Career Title is their recognition title or the highest title they have achieved. A Consultant’s Career Title does not change unless they are promoted, unlike a Paid-As Title, which may vary from month to month. Career Title determines a Consultant’s eligibility. See also Eligible. Commissions The term Commissions refers to the percentage of the sales remitted to the Fragrance Consultant based on either personal sales or team sales. Commissionable Sales Some products are sold at discounted prices (for example, buy one, get one at half price). Some of the payout types such as Personal Volume Overrides and Personal Fundraiser Overrides pay a bonus percentage for high volume sellers. These two payout types do not pay out on the full retail price of discounted products but, instead, on a reduced price for which the customer pays. For example, a half-priced item might have 50% of the Retail Volume (RV) assigned to it. This term is interchangeable with the term Commissionable Volume (CV).

Glossary Commissionable Volume (CV) Each inventory item has both a Qualifying Volume (QV) and Commissionable Volume (CV) assigned to it. CV is the volume on which commissions are paid and is based on the local currency of the country in which the volume is created. In this plan, the CV will typically be 75% of the retail price for most products and typically 50% on fundraiser products. The company may determine that some products will be assigned a lower CV value. Sales aids and tools will have zero QV and CV. Compensation Plan The Compensation Plan, also known as the Career Plan, defines the multiple ways in which a Fragrance Consultant can earn commissions, receive recognition and incentives based on the performance of that Consultant or that of his or her organization. There are detailed Career Plan resources at www. GoldCanyonUniversity.com under the Training Toolbox tab. Compression (General) When a Fragrance Consultant closes their account and is no longer part of the company, their organization is compressed to their upline filling the gap left by this Consultant.

Consultant – Long-Term Leave A Fragrance Consultant in LongTerm Leave status is one who has requested and been granted Long-Term Leave status due to military relocation outside of the United States or Canada (Consultant or his or her immediate family member), medical treatment for a debilitating disease for six months or longer, such as chemotherapy, or departure on a church or humanitarian mission. See the Statement of Policies for additional information regarding eligibility and how to request this status.

Consultant Acting as an independent contractor, a Fragrance Consultant presents and sells the Gold Canyon product line. Consultant and Fragrance Consultant may be used interchangeably in documentation and collateral.

Consultant – Resignation A Fragrance Consultant in Resignation status is one whose account with Gold Canyon was closed voluntarily by sending a Support Ticket asking to be resigned to Partner Support.

Consultant Agreement The agreement between a Fragrance Consultant and Gold Canyon, wherein the Consultant agrees to operate a Gold Canyon business in accordance with the Statement of Policies and the Terms & Conditions. In return, Gold Canyon allows the individual to become a Gold Canyon Fragrance Consultant and will compensate him or her in accordance with the Career Plan.

Consultant – Terminated A Fragrance Consultant in Terminated status is one whose account was closed by Gold Canyon as a result of disciplinary action.

Consultant – Active An Active Fragrance Consultant is one that submits commissionable personal sales of 250 PV or more each calendar month. Consultant – Canceled A Fragrance Consultant in Canceled status is one who has not met the minimum of 250 PV during a calendar quarter in order to remain a Fragrance Consultant and keep their organization. The quarterly minimum requirement will begin in the calendar quarter following the quarter in which they enrolled. Consultants who reactivate their accounts must begin achieving personal sales minimums the same quarter in which they reactivated. These Consultants permanently lose their title and organization at the time their account is closed. Consultant – Critical Critical status is granted in emergency situations to exempt a Consultant from the Cancellation Policy for this time frame (the three months of the quarter requested). Critical status must be requested by the Consultant and is subject to Gold Canyon’s approval. Critical status is approved on a quarterly basis in accordance with the unique circumstances of the Consultant. Consultant – Hold A Fragrance Consultant in Hold status is one who has violated a policy and is not allowed to log in to the Scentral Hub or do any business as a Consultant until the violation has been corrected. See Hold Status in the Statement of Policies for additional information.

Consultant – In Good Standing To be considered a Gold Canyon Fragrance Consultant in Good Standing, a Consultant must meet a minimum of 250 PV per calendar quarter. Consultants must begin achieving personal sales minimums the quarter after the one in which they enrolled. Consultants who reactivate their accounts must begin achieving personal sales minimums the same quarter in which they reactivated. Consultants must also be in compliance with the Gold Canyon Policies, Statement of Policies, Terms and Conditions and all amendments thereto. As a Gold Canyon Consultant in Good Standing, you are entitled to the full benefits of being a Consultant.

Consultant Titles An Active Consultant may earn additional titles beyond Fragrance Consultant based on sponsoring, personal sales and team sales. Those titles include Senior Consultant (SC), Premier Consultant (PRC), Leader (L), Jr. Team Leader (JTL), (PLC), Team Leader (TL), Senior Team Leader (STL), Business Leader (BL), Executive (Exec), Senior Executive (Sr Exec), Vice President (VP), Senior Vice President (Sr VP), Executive Vice President (Exec VP) and Senior Executive Vice President (Sr Exec VP). See the Career Plan information beginning on page 66 for a complete description of leadership levels. Corporate Guest Order These are orders placed on the corporate website by customers shopping as a guest. The Personal Volume is assigned to Consultants with the Paid-As Title of Leader or Above in the previous closed period, who are active during this commission period with a current E-tools subcription and in the geographic location of the customer on a rotating basis. The Consultant recieves a 15% base commission for orders placed on the corporate website. Customer A Customer is an individual who purchases products for personal use and has not signed an agreement with the company. Direct Sales Direct Sales is the sale of a product or service, personto-person, independent from a fixed retail location. Gold Canyon is a direct-selling company that markets its products through independent Fragrance Consultants who sell primarily at Scent Mixers and in other person-to-person settings.

Glossary Eligible A Consultant is considered Eligible to receive a commission if they meet the Career Title requirements for a particular payout. For example, a Consultant is Eligible to receive the Matching Team Leader Advancement Bonus if they have a Career Title of Team Leader or higher. If they had a lesser title, they would not be Eligible to receive the Matching Team Leader Advancement Bonus even though they might be fully Qualified at the lesser title. Eligibility does not mean a Consultant will receive the particular payout. To receive a payout, a Consultant must be both Eligible and Qualified. It is possible for a Consultant to be Eligible but unqualified. For example, if they have a Career Title of Team Leader making them Eligible for the Matching Team Leader Advancement Bonus, but are paid as a Leader, it would make them unqualified to receive it. Likewise, it is possible for them to be ineligible but Qualified. For example, if they have a Career Title of Leader and are Qualified at that title, but are ineligible for the Matching Team Leader Advancement Bonus because they have not achieved a title of Team Leader or higher. A Consultant must be both Eligible and Qualified to receive a particular payout. See also Qualified. Enroller/Personal Sponsor A Fragrance Consultant who sponsors and brings a new Consultant into the business is the new Consultant’s Enroller or Personal Sponsor. Enrollment Order This order type is created during the online agreement process, whether the agreement is entered by the enrolling Fragrance Consultant via the corporate website, another Fragrance Consultant’s personal website or the home office. The item ordered is the Starter Kit, consisting of products and business supplies. This order type is not eligible for Host Rewards. There is no retail profit on an Enrollment Order. Frontline The Consultant who is in Level 1 of another Consultant’s organization are considered the frontline of that Consultant. Fundraiser Order These orders are placed on behalf of an organization by a Consultant who qualifies to administer a fundraiser. The organization receives 40% of the retail profit, while the Fragrance Consultant retains 10% of the retail profit of the order amount. See Getting Started with a Gold Canyon Fundraiser on the Scentral Hub for details regarding this program and PV - Fundraiser (PV-FR). This order type is not eligible for Host Rewards. Products sold through the Fundraising Program must not be entered as Scent Mixer Order(s), as this is a misrepresentation of the Gold Canyon Fundraising Program and misuse of the Compensation Plan. Fundraiser orders must be a minimum of $400 retail.

Generational Upline A Consultant’s Generational Upline is the first upline with the Paid-As Title of a Team Leader or higher. Host A Host is an individual who hosts a Scent Mixer with invited guests. A Host is awarded Host Rewards gifts when the Mixer reaches $150 in CV, with additional gifts as the Mixer sales increase and as additional Mixers are booked from the Host’s Mixer. Host Rewards Program The Host Rewards Program includes the gifts a Host earns from hosting a Scent Mixer with commissionable sales of $150 or greater and the Host Booking Incentive that result from her Mixer. As a benefit to Consultants, Gold Canyon pays for all Host Rewards gifts the Company offers. However, the Host is responsible for paying for the discounted items earned, and sales tax, shipping and handling on all Host Rewards items. (For complete information, including how to redeem the Host Booking Incentive, see Host Coaching and Host Rewards Program at www.GoldCanyonUniversity.com). Incentives Occasionally, Gold Canyon offers incentives to help Fragrance Consultants increase their sales or build their teams. These incentives vary, are offered for a limited time and include various criteria to qualify. An example of an incentive program is the potential to earn trips paid for by the Company. Gold Canyon regularly conducts audits throughout the incentive period to prevent fraud or misuse of the incentive program. Independent Contractors All Gold Canyon Fragrance Consultants are independent contractors, meaning they are not employees, franchisees, agents or partners with Gold Canyon. Each Consultant controls how they conduct their Gold Canyon business provided they comply with applicable laws and as long as they fully comply with the Terms & Conditions, Statement of Policies and Career Plan, as amended from time to time. Leadership Titles With the achievement of higher leadership titles, Fragrance Consultants can increase amounts of override commissions on their team sales. These leadership titles also recognize status within the Gold Canyon community. See also Career Title and Paid-As Title.

Generation The relationship between one Team Leader or higher and another Team Leader or higher in their organization. If a Team Leader or higher is not paid as a Team Leader, they are not considered a Generation to their upline Team Leader or higher because Generation is based on their Paid-As Title.

Level The place a Consultant occupies in an organizational genealogy structure relative to another Consultant in the same organization. Consultants personally sponsored are Level 1 or Frontline. Those Consultants sponsored by Level 1 Consultants are Level 2, relative to the original Consultant. Level does NOT refer to title or rank. Customers are not considered when counting levels and do not occupy a position in a Consultant’s genealogy.

For example, Cindy sponsors Alice who sponsors Jan who sponsors Carol. Alice is the only one who is not a Team Leader or higher. Jan is First Generation to Cindy. Carol is Second Generation to Cindy. If Alice later becomes a Team Leader, Alice will become a First Generation to Cindy and Jan and Carol become Second and Third Generations, respectively. If Jan and/or Carol are not paid as Team Leaders next month, they are not considered a Generation to Cindy.

Level Overrides (1-3) A percentage of Commissionable Volume (CV) can be paid to the first three uplines. To receive the Level 1-3 commission, they must be Active, Eligible and Qualified. If a Fragrance Consultant is designated as unqualified or ineligible, then that Level Override will not be paid. See also Active, Eligible and Qualified.

Generation Bonuses (Leadership Development Bonuses) Generation Bonuses (also known as Leadership Development Bonuses) are bonuses paid on the number of Team Leaders at each Generation Level (up to five

Generation Levels) depending on the Paid-As Title of the Leader. They are paid in addition to the Level 1-3 Overrides. See the Compensation & Requirements Chart within the Career Plan information for details about the bonus amounts paid per Team Leader. See also Team.

Matching Leader Advancement Bonus Please refer to Advancement Bonus (Matching) – Leader. Matching Team Leader Advancement Bonus Please refer to Advancement Bonus (Matching) – Team Leader.

Glossary Monthly Sales Requirement Active, Eligible and Qualified. If a Fragrance Consultant is designated as unqualified or ineligible, then that Level Override will not be paid. See also Active, Eligible and Qualified.

Personal Volume - Fundraiser (PV-FR) Personal Volume from Fundraiser Orders is applied to PV-FR to determine the Personal Fundraiser Override Commission. Qualifying Volume (QV) is used for the value applied (not Commissionable Volume (CV)).

New Consultant A New Consultant is a Consultant who has enrolled for the first time as a Consultant with Gold Canyon, meaning they have not been a Consultant for a period of two years or more with Gold Canyon.

Personal Volume Net (PV-Net) The Personal Volume (PV) derived from non-Fundraiser Orders based on the Qualifying Volume (QV) from each order placed or sold by the selling Fragrance Consultant. PV-Net is used to determine the Personal Volume Override percentage.

Organization Individuals sponsored by a Fragrance Consultant and everyone below them make up that Consultant’s organization. Override Commissions Override Commissions are additional commissions earned on personal sales and sales made by your team. Paid-As Title Each Fragrance Consultant is paid at the title for which they qualify during the month. The requirements to be paid as a title are the same as the requirements to promote to that title, but subject to a single month. If in any month they fail to achieve their Career Title level, they are paid at the lower title for which they do qualify during the month. They retain their Career Title but are paid as the title for which they actually qualify. Period A period refers to the specific time frame in which qualifications and payouts are calculated. In Gold Canyon’s Career Plan, a period is the same as a calendar month. All bonuses will be paid on a period basis. Personal Fundraiser Override Commission An additional percentage override is given to the selling Consultant of a Fundraiser Order if their Fundraiser Personal Volume (PV-FR) is sufficient. The percentage is applied to the Commissionable Volume (CV) assigned to each product. See Sell/Fundraisers at www.goldcanyonuniversity. com for complete information. Personal Order Personal Orders are those orders a Consultant places for product for his or her personal use or for a customer when their commissionable total does not reach the $150 minimum to enter a Scent Mixer Order. These orders do not qualify for Host Rewards.* They are submitted through the Scentral Hub. For current shipping rates, go to the Scentral Hub/Resources/Policies, Procedures & Shipping Information/US & CDN Shipping Rates. *Note: The shipping address entered on Personal Orders can only be the Consultant’s. Using their name and address prevents shipments being delayed or returned to Gold Canyon. If the order must be sent to a customer, the Consultant must contact Partner Support for assistance. Personal Sales Personal sales are the sales made by the Fragrance Consultant on the retail price of the products personally sold by that Consultant. For additional information, see the Career Plan information beginning on page 66. Personal Volume (PV) The total Qualifying Volume (QV) of a single Fragrance Consultant from orders placed personally and by their customers (orders placed directly with the company by customers through a Consultant’s personal website). See also Personal Volume – Fundraiser (PV-FR).

Personal Volume Override Commission Consultants that achieve a minimum Personal Volume Net (PV-Net) in the month will be qualified to receive an additional percentage on the Retail Volume (RV) of their Personal Orders (and their Customer Orders). The percentage will be paid on the RV of their orders and any Customer Orders they have. Please refer to Leadership Compensation & Requirements Chart on pages 76-77 for specific volume requirements. All other overrides, commissions and bonuses in Gold Canyon’s Career Plan are paid on the Commissionable Volume. Personally Sponsored Active (PSA) Any Level 1 or Frontline Consultant you personally helped to enroll who has achieved at least 250 Personal Volume (PV) during the month. Personal Website Orders Personal Website Orders allow customers to order online when they are unable to attend a Scent Mixer. These orders are placed on a Consultant’s personal website and are not eligible for Host Rewards, unless they are assigned to an Online Mixer. A shipping surcharge is added to total of the order. For current shipping rates, go to the Scentral Hub/Resources/Policies, Procedures & Shipping Information/US & CDN Shipping Rates. Promotion A Fragrance Consultant promotes to a new Career Title when they meet all of the qualifications for that title in a single month. The promotion is effective the first day of the month of qualification, meaning that regardless of what day for which the promotion was actually qualified, the new Career Title is effective for the entire month. A Consultant may promote to more than one new title in the same month. In this instance, the Consultant is paid at the highest title to which they promoted in that month. Qualified A Fragrance Consultant is considered to be Qualified if they meet the Paid-As requirements for a particular payout and/ or title. A Consultant will only receive the payouts for which they are both Eligible and Qualified. For example, a Consultant may be Eligible for the Matching Team Leader Advancement Bonus because they have a Career Title of Team Leader. However, if they are paid as a Leader or below, then they are unqualified for the bonus and would therefore not receive it. In a similar manner, a Consultant may be Qualified as a Leader, but is ineligible to receive a Matching Team Leader Advancement Bonus because a Matching Team Leader Advancement Bonus is paid only to Team Leaders and above. See also Eligible. Qualified Team Leader (TL) Leg A Qualified Team Leader (TL) Leg starts with the Level 1 Consultant and everyone below them where at least one is paid as a Team Leader.

Glossary Qualifying Volume (QV) The Qualifying Volume (QV) in Gold Canyon’s Career Plan is usually derived from the U.S. Retail Price. The same SKU in each market will have the same QV assigned to it so the QV total can be determined across borders.

Scentral Hub The Scentral Hub is the Consultant side of the Gold Canyon website. It is password-protected and contains the latest information from Gold Canyon, such as training, communications, ordering and business tools to assist Consultants in their businesses.

Each inventory item has both a QV and Commissionable Volume (CV) assigned to it. QV is used for Personal Volume (PV) and Team Volume (TV) calculations and is used solely to determine if the Fragrance Consultant is Qualified based on the terms of their respective title. The Personal Volume Override is the only commission that is paid based on the Retail Volume (RV) instead of the CV. All other commissions (other than Retail Profit) are paid based on CV.

Statement of Policies The Statement of Policies is the set of governing policies established by Gold Canyon Gold Canyon may amend the Statement of Policies from time to time. Updates take precedence over previous policies and are published on the Scentral Hub/Resources/Policies, Procedures & Shipping Information.

Quick Start Period The Quick Start Period is the date of enrollment plus 100 days.

Team Leader (TL) Leg A Team Leader (TL) Leg begins with a Level 1 or frontline Consultant paid as a Team Leader and includes all of the Consultants beneath them.

Reactivation Process A Fragrance Consultant that has been Canceled has up to six months from being Cancelled to reactivate by paying a $50 fee. Consultants reactivating by paying the $50 fee will reactivate under the same upline. If a Canceled or Resigned Consultant waits at least six months, they may re-enroll under the upline or sponsor of their choosing with the purchase of a Starter Kit. The reactivated Consultant’s former organization (if applicable) will not be reinstated. They will not count as a new Consultant for incentives or recognition for their upline. Re-enrolling Consultants will be considered New Consultants for Quick Start and their own recognition or earning of an incentive, unless otherwise noted in the terms and conditions. Replacement Process If a Consultant needs to replace a candle, holder, accessory or other Gold Canyon product, he or she can either call Partner Support or go to the Scentral Hub and enter a Support Ticket with the category of “Replacement Order”. The Support Ticket must include the original order number, the item numbers to be replaced and reason for the replacement. If the order is shipping to the customer, then their name and address must be included in the ticket; otherwise the order entered by Partner Support will ship to the Consultant. Retail Profit A retail profit is paid to Fragrance Consultants on orders placed by their customers based on the difference between the Consultant price and the Customer price. The Consultant does not need to be active to receive their Base Commission. The Consultant keeps the retail profit when remitting payment to Gold Canyon for Personal Orders and the amount entered under their own name as a guest on Mixer Orders. All other Base Commissions are paid to Consultants by Gold Canyon via direct deposit or check once a month. This term is interchangeable with the term Base Commission. Roll-Up Active Any Level 1 or Frontline Consultant you did not personally sponsor and bring into the business who has achieved at least 250 Personal Volume (PV) during the month. Scent Mixer Order The Scent Mixer Order consists of orders collected through a “Home Scent Mixer” or “Catalog Scent Mixer” with a minimum of $150 in commissionable sales. These orders are eligible for Host Rewards and are submitted through the Scentral Hub. A shipping surcharge is added to total of the order. Products sold through the Fundraising Program cannot be entered as Scent Mixer Order(s), as this is a misrepresentation of the Gold Canyon Fundraising Program and misuse of the compensation plan.

Team Volume (TV) The Qualifying Volume (QV) or Personal Volume (PV) of all members of your Team (Levels 1, 2 and 3), including yourself. Team Volume requirements must be met monthly. Upline The Consultant who is currently one level higher in an organization’s genealogy than another Consultant is the Consultant’s Upline. An Upline is not the Enroller or Personal Sponsor of a Consultant if they didn’t bring that Consultant into the business.
