On your home computer or device, go to the Microsoft Office 365 home page and sign in with your school email address ([email protected]) and school password. Each user can install Office on up to five different devices including PCs and Macs, plus five additional installations on tablets (Windows, iPad, and Android)) and phones. This gives you access to the latest versions of Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint and other Microsoft Office programmes. Your Office 365 ProPlus subscription is valid for the duration of your time at Cirencester Deer Park School. FAQs What is Office 365? Microsoft Office 365 includes a subscription-based version of Microsoft Office. Rather than paying for Office in one sum upfront, Office 365 allows users to pay a monthly or annual subscription to various services. We are offering you a free subscription to Office 365 for as long as you work or study at Cirencester Deer Park School. When you leave, the license will be revoked. Do I want or need Office 365? If you do not have a version of Microsoft Office at home or you have an older version of Microsoft Office, you may wish to download and install this free version on your machines or devices. Cirencester Deer Park School does not support the installation, but if you have a problem accessing your Cirencester Deer Park School Office 365 account, you can email [email protected]. What if I have a previous version of Office? If you already have the current version of Office installed on your machine or device (e.g. Office 2013), then you cannot install Office 365 on the same machine or device. The apps (Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc) are the same on both versions, so you are not missing out! If Office 2010, 2007 or earlier version exists on the machine or device, Office 365 can be installed alongside an existing version. You do not need to uninstall your current version. Will this work on an Apple Mac? There are two versions of Office available for the Mac, depending on the Operating System (OS). If the OS X version is below 10.10, you will be able to install Office 2011. For versions OS X 10.10 and above, Office 2016 can be installed. Who can install this software/these apps? The license is for members of staff and pupils at Cirencester Deer Park School. Pupils and parents should discuss the installation of the Office 365 software/apps before commencing and may need to work together to set this up on machines and devices. You need to have administrative rights to the machine or device. How long does the free subscription of Office 365 Pro Plus last? You will be licensed for the duration of your time or employment at Cirencester Deer Park School because the license is linked to your Cirencester Deer Park school pupil or staff account. If you leave the school and your account is deleted, any work stored on your OneDrive will be deleted. You should consider downloading your data stored in the cloud and saving it to another location before the account is deleted. When you leave Deer Park, you could take out a subscription to Office 365 yourself and move your OneDrive data onto the new account, but please note that this is not a free service. How do I deactivate a copy of Office 365? To remove a copy of Office 365 from a machine or device, you can deactivate it on one and reinstall on another. To deactivate a copy of Office 365 Pro, log on to your Office 365 account and under ‘Software’ then ‘Office’, select the device and ‘Deactivate’.

Office Mobile for Android Click on ‘Phone and tablets’ rather than ‘Office’ under ‘Software’. Select your phone or tablet from the list. Click on ‘Get app’, then ‘Send email’. Apps available: ‘Office for Android phone’ and ‘Office for Android tablet’ includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote. Other apps such as OneDrive, Skype and Lync are available as separate downloads. Android requirements: Android OS 4.0 or greater and Android touch enabled smartphones only.
