SMT Systemtechnik is your specialist for flexible robot applications. Since its foundation as a private society in 1988, it has continuously expanded and was transformed to a private limited company in 2005. Since 2011, SMT Systemtechnik is a subsidiary of the IMG group (Rostock, Germany), an international corporate association with activities in 27 countries. Our robot solutions, plants and machines are used by clients all over Germany, Europe as well as in Turkey and Russia. Small and medium-sized workshops as well as industrial large-scale enterprises belong to our customers. Numerous applications can be managed, whether in the automotive and utility branch, sheet metal working, steel construction or mechanical engineering. The individual design of each single arrangement allows for an efficient, timesaving process at the highest degree of precision.

Runs simply automatically: SMT solutions

A team of 18 experienced employees with specialization in different topics of mechanics and electronics, develops, designs and produces partially or completely automated solutions, special machines and transporting equipment. The production takes place exclusively at Syke, Germany: An experience of many years, detailed engineering know-how and professional production competence. Welding robots are the core of our specialization, with the entire range of common methods available, e.g. pulsed MIG/MAG arc welding, TIG, CMT, laser and laser hybrid welding and other methods. Preceding and following procedures, or operations to be executed in the periphery, can be integrated as well. Besides welding machines, we are fabricating robots for palletizing, cutting, gluing, mounting and other processes. As an official system partner of KUKA Roboter, we are licensed to integrate robots with articulated arms, purchased from the first European manufacturer. Since the entire team disposes of a well-tried competence in mechanical engineering, sophisticated arrangements for special machines may be developed any time.

From planning up to manufacturing: Flexible robot systems from one single source

For which tasks, do you intend to use a robot? Which is the design of the entire production plant? Which preceding and following processes are required? By a detailed product analysis, we are able to develop the basis for the most profitable system with respect to the intended purpose. By taking into consideration the environment of your product and the methods of construction, the parameters for planning and development can precisely be adjusted. A close cooperation with the clientele during the phase of development is essential for us, in order to integrate the common experience into the final system. As soon as the system design is prepared, the required electrical and mechanical components are manufactured – at our own site.

Each model is different: Individual robot systems

Before delivery, the whole plant is installed inside our workshop, accompanied by a comprehensive testing procedure. In the course of this preliminary release, the presence of our clients is always welcome – this enhances the confidence to obtain a system properly working, up from the first moment. After final installation, a detailed training for the employees of the customer is offered. Further service of course may be agreed upon need of the customer.
