Peer‐to‐Peer (P2P) User Acceptance Testing Instructions Test 1: Execute a document request from Nightingale Notes to Allina. High level steps (details to follow) 1) Log into the pre‐release environment for Nightingale Notes using your normal production credentials. 2) Do a patient search for the specified test patient and click on that patient to enter their record. 3) Navigate to the Requests Tab. This tab only shows if Peer‐To‐Peer functionality has been enabled for your agency. Press “New Request” button, to start a new request. 4) Fill out the Requests Tab 5) Wait until the Nightingale Notes batch processor handles the submitted request (3‐10 minutes) 6) Refresh the status on the screen periodically. When the request is labeled “FINSHED”, look at the Results Column and read what it says. 7) If successful, navigate to the Files Tab for that patient and see the attached CCD. You can click on the xml file (or “Save As”) to the desktop and view it using some other tool.
Detailed Steps 1) Log into the Pre‐Release site for Nightingale Notes using the following URL and the same credentials you use to log into the normal site. www.nnprerelease.com 2) Search for the patient with the following details (searching on the name should be good enough): Production Validation Patient First Name: CAROLYN Middle: C Last Name: ZZCONSORTIUMTEST DOB: 01/01/1970 Gender: Female Phone number: 5555551212 Street: 123 Consortium Test Drive City: Denver State: CO Zip: 80205

4) Fill out the Requests Tab. a. Document Provider – Choose Allina_Test for now. b. Document Types – choose “Summarization of episode note” for the test. You can select others as well, but Allina probably will not have other files on the test patient. c. Document Date Between – leave the default. You can change the values, but it will more than likely not change the outcome for the test. How these dates are used is completely dependent on Epic software. d. Service Date Between – You can use these dates to narrow what encounters would be included on the CCD. How these dates are used is completely dependent on Epic software and may not affect the outcome. e. Your Role – How the role is used is completely dependent on Epic software. This may or may not affect the outcome, but must be selected for audit purposes. f. Requesting Reason ‐ How the Reason is used is completely dependent on Epic software. This may or may not affect the outcome, but must be selected for audit purposes. g. Press the “Submit Request” button.

5) Wait for batch processor to finish. This could take up to 3 minutes for the test, depending on when the process runs. 6) Refresh the Requests Tab and look for results. For example: If you see the following record with a status of “IN_PROGRESS”, that means your request has not been sent yet to Allina, and you need to wait a bit longer until it is processed.
The following is a sample request that has finished processing and has returned 1 document. This is the successful result we are looking for.

The following is a sample request that was issued to Allina successfully, but the patient you were looking for was not found on the Allina side. Although absolutely plausible in real life, for testing purposes, this is not what we want to see.

7) Navigate to the Files tab, and hit refresh on the browser. If the test was successful, you should see a screen the looks something like this. If you do not refresh the Files Tab screen, and you jumped directly here from the Requests Tab, you may not see your file listed even if the request returned 1 or more documents.
