Brief description Within the framework of the OSF project "Work with Roma Parents with Children 0-3" (2011-2013) we produced 50 videos for parents in Slovenian and 50 videos for parents with English translation. We planned and organized workshops for Roma parents and their children in preschools or at Roma settlements. The animators (Roma assistants and preschool teachers) encouraged Roma parents to participate in making videos to show, how Roma parents and their children carry out examples of each activity from the "Material for the empowerment of Roma families in childcare and encouraging child development between the ages from 0 to 3". The final product includes videos in the form of learning material with the reference to the area of the child development that the individual activity promotes (intellectual, linguistic, emotional, social or/and motor development). www.korakzakorakom.si Web link

Brief description Childcare Stories tells the story of 17 parents from different European member states. These stories show that childcare is an essential link in the life of the parents. The viewer is also confronted with the different meanings of childcare: it is more than just taking care of children while parents are at work. They want childcare that makes them and their children feel welcome. It has to be a partner in the education of children. Childcare Stories is a film for everyone who gets in touch with childcare: parents, professionals, social workers who guide parents towards childcare. The dvd also contains 11 individual testimonies that are the basis for discussion and reflection. http://www.vbjk.be/en/childcarestories + Web link http://www.vbjk.be/files/childcarestoriesextra1english.pdf + http://www.vbjk.be/files/childcarestoriesextra2english.pdf
