Hanover Geo Trail Rules 1) All geocaches are officially registered with www.geocaching.com. 2) Participants need to be registered on geocaching.com to retrieve the coordinates and other location information. Registration is free. 3) Before finding the caches, you need an official passport booklet. Passports are free and available at: Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce 146 Carlisle St, Hanover, PA 17331 Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. You can also download and print your passport from www.mainstreethanover.org. 4) Each cache will contain a unique code to be used in your passport as proof of finding the cache. Once you successfully find 18 caches, you are eligible to receive your free Main Street Hanover commemorative geocoin. 5) Coins can be retrieved by mailing or returning the completed passport to the Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce office. The passport and coin will be returned to the geocacher to be retained as a keepsake. Only one coin will be given to each cacher. 6) Coins are limited to the first 150 participants, and are available after September 22, 2014. Be sure to check the Hanover Geo Trail link on www.mainstreethanover.org for updated coin availability.

Where can I find the caches? To find Hanover PA Geo Trail Caches: 1) Log onto geocaching.com (create a profile if needed). 2) Click on the “Play” drop down menu to locate the “Hide & Seek a Cache” link. 3) Under “Seek a Cache...”, scroll down to “Other Search Options.” 4) Under “Cache Starts With”, type “HGT -” (there must be a space between the “T” and the “-”)
