Outlook 2010 and 2013 Creating a New Outlook Profile 1. Go to the Control Panel and open Mail. In Windows 7 and Windows 8 you can find the Mail program by typing Mail in the Search Control Panel box.

2. Select Show Profiles

We will next remove the old profile and create a new one Note: Before you delete the existing profile, go to the properties of the existing profile and take note if you had existing Personal Folder Files also known as PST files and there locations. To see the location you can go back to the Mail program in the Control Panel and select Data Files. We will not cover this any further in this document because having a PST file is optional but if you need further assistance with this please contact the UM IT Help Desk.

4. In the Show Profiles box, highlight the existing profile you were using and delete it.

5. Select Add to create a new profile and enter the name

6. Select Manual setup or additional server types and click Next

7. Select Microsoft Exchange or compatible service 8. In the dialog box, enter the Server outlook.cgcent.miami.edu. Enter the User name which can be your email address and set the offline settings to use Cached mode. Outlook 2013 will allow you select how much mail to keep offline. The default is 12 months and you should probably leave it at that. Click the Check Name button to verify the account.

9. Once you check the name and it finds the user, click next and finish 10. This completes the configuration of the Outlook profile

Outlook 2007 Creating a New Outlook Profile 1. Go to the Control Panel and open Mail. In Windows 7 and Windows 8 you can find the Mail program by typing Mail in the Search Control Panel box.

7. Select Microsoft Exchange and click Next 8. In the dialog box, enter the Microsoft Exchange Server: outlook.cgcent.miami.edu. Enter the User name which can be your email address and check the box to use Cached Exchange Mode. Click the Check Name button to verify the account. If you are prompted to login, enter cgcent as the domain and your login name. For example: cgcent\d.user
