Keynote Speakers Karen Post, President, Brain Tattoo Branding Since 2000, Karen has been on the professional, international speaking circuit and has been an active branding consultant and author. Prior to that she led an ad agency for nearly twenty years. Karen’s speaking work includes delivering keynotes, breakout sessions and facilitating programs for corporations, trade associations and business organizations around the globe. Her consulting practice advises commercial, nonprofit and individual brands. Karen has authored two books. Her latest book is Brand Turnaround: How Brands Gone Bad Returned to Glory . . . and the 7 Game Changers that Made the Difference will be out in late 2011 (McGraw-Hill). In 2004, Karen authored Brain Tattoos: Creating Unique Brands That Stick in Your Customers’ Minds that was published by AMACOM.

Speakers Stats Jessica DeFauw MS, Business Development Manager, Oticon, Inc. Jessica DeFauw has a 15-year history in the hearing care profession includes a diverse mix of sales, marketing, and management roles. She has assisted hundreds of practices in implementing business and marketing strategies to support long-term growth. Her particular areas of focus include consultative sales training, online marketing and social media, and practice management software systems. She has been published in various professional journals and presented at many state and national conferences. Jessica holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Central Michigan University and a Master of Science degree in Audiology from Vanderbilt University. She also served as a dispensing audiologist at a private practice in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Roger McGuire, BA, Director of Business Development, Oticon, Inc. Roger McGuire has over 20 years of industry experience, having held positions ranging from special instruments distributor to manufacturer sales representative to product development manager. Previously Roger was Vice President of Professional Training and Education at American Hearing Aid Associates, and was responsible for curriculum, training and education and “best practices” development. Roger has also had articles appear in professional journals on a wide variety of practice management subjects. In his current capacity as Director of Business Development at Oticon Inc., Roger provides business planning and finance support, and helps customers maximize their purchasing power through supply agreements. Roger has a BA in history from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon.

Sheena D. Oliver, AuD, MBA - Vice President, Marketing, Oticon, Inc. She is responsible for Oticon’s overall marketing strategy, overseeing marketing, advertising and public relations initiatives across all product lines. As an audiologist, Sheena has a unique understanding of the day-to-day needs of hearing care professionals. As Manager of Oticon Pediatrics, she helped to establish Oticon Pediatrics as a distinct brand and valuable single source for optimal solutions for children with hearing loss. An alumna of the University of Pittsburgh, she earned a Doctor of Audiology degree from Salus University and a Master in Business Administration from Temple University. In 2014, Sheena was among the outstanding marketers inducted into the DMN Marketing Hall of Femme.

Nancy Palmere, BS, Senior Marketing Manager, Oticon, Inc. Nancy Palmere brings over 25 years of experience in marketing, advertising and public relations to her role as Senior Marketing Manager for Oticon, Inc. She is responsible for executing national consumer campaigns for Oticon’s premium products and developing strategic communications, marketing and advertising support for hearing care professionals across the country. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Marketing from Rider University and post-graduate certification in Special Events Marketing from New York University.

Stephanie Young, BS, Senior Digital Marketing Manager, Oticon, Inc.

Stephanie Young is the Senior Digital Marketing Manager for Oticon, Inc., responsible for the development and execution of all B2C and B2B digital strategies and initiatives to support and advance Oticon’s presence in the digital space. Stephanie has more than 19 years’ experience in online and offline direct marketing encompassing a broad range of digital programs and initiatives, including e-commerce, mobile marketing, social media, email marketing, SEO and SEM as well as online user experience for web and mobile apps. Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Rutgers University School of Business and has completed post-graduate studies in Direct and Interactive Marketing at New York University.
