What is HSE pre-qualification? What are we doing? Why are we making this change? What value will the change deliver? What does this mean for you? Next steps and support
17
What is HSE pre-qualification? • It is a way for all contractors to demonstrate they have the right systems in place to identify and manage HSE risks associated with the services or work they intend to provide. • To become pre-qualified, contractors need to provide us with specific HSE information so we can assess their level of compliance and capability in regard to the work or services they are offering to deliver.
18
What are we doing? • Moving to an evidence based HSE assessment with new tier requirements
• Updating our supplier portal so that you’ll be able to: • Complete your HSE re-qualification online when required • Upload your HSE documents so they can be viewed and used Corporate wide • Update your information including bank account details and changing portal access • View your performance information
19
Why are we making this change? • To mitigate the risks of engaging non-compliant or unqualified contractors.
• To enable all contractors to work safely. • To provide improved contractor HSE and performance information to our stakeholders. • To simplify the current pre-qualification and supplier registration processes.
20
What value will the change deliver? • More reliable information and greater visibility • Greater clarity regarding the services each contractor offers and is qualified to perform • We’ll have confidence that our contractors can safely perform the work they’ve been engaged to do • We’ll minimise the risks our people and our contractors are exposed to
21
What does this mean for you? • There will be a phased approach to the re-qualification process. • Your existing information will be recorded in the system and will reflect your current pre-qualification level. • You will receive notification of your revised expiry date via email during November. • Where required, we’ll provide guidance on the preparation and submission of commonly required HSE documentation.

Key Considerations
• • • •
Job planning Clear Documentation Clear communications – Keep the operator informed Understanding that operations in many cases must continue along side construction • Clear demarcation on site between construction and operations • Understanding that issues not addressed during design and construction can exist for years in operations • Ask for their input!
