Hot stamp code dating comprises of a heated printing block applying pressure to the back of a multi layered film based on polyester. The action causes the coating to adhere to the substrate defined by the design of the printing plate. The modern application machines, coders, have a nominal contact time that allows coding to be applied up to 800 packs per minute applying a design 48mm x 30mm.
Thermal printing is the process of passing electrical current through resistive elements, configured in a linear array of dots. Each dot is in direct contact with a sensitive media – thermal transfer ribbon. Heat from the energized dots, release ink form the thermal transfer ribbon, which is transferred onto the substrate where it cools and anchors to the substrate surface

Designed to withstand all the complexities of foiling today. It exhibits excellent resistance to condensation, boiling and scratch. From our extensive trials we know that the foil will perform well on all modern packaging films both in the food and pharmaceutical markets and has gives great detail and coverage on label stocks. Our studies suggest that this is the best all-round pigment foil we have produced to date. The foil has been designed to ensure that there no dust left around the print head.
