DESCRIPTION Various beach cottages 7a. Architectural style: 7b. Briefly describe the present physical description of the site or structure and describe any major alterations from its original condition:
Ocean Way is located along the bluff front just below Coast Highway. It is anchored on one end by Moss Point and on the other by Pearl Street. On the coastal side it consists primarily of what were beach houses built predominantly by upper income fami 1 ies from out of the area, particularly Pasadena and Los Angeles. The inland side of the street and intersecting streets between the highway and the ocean were original ly more modest bungalow cottages. Houses itemized here are the best remaining and most architecturally intact examples. Many of the original pre-1940 homes have been extensively remodeled, and therefore, do not warrant inclusion here. Several homes in the vicinity of Moss Point have outstanding architectural and historical significance and they have been recommended for the National Register of Historic Buildings.
