North Shore Friendship Shawl Designed by Laura Krzak As a fairly new crochet designer, I’ve received a lot of encouragement from both local friends and friends I’ve made in the industry. As a thank you, I dedicate this design to all of them. Skill Level: Intermediate Size: Approx. 19” W x 68” L Materials: Cascade Yarns® North Shore 100% Acrylic 100 g (3.5 oz) / 220 yds (200 m) 3 skeins of #11 (Coral) Crochet hook, size 7 (4.5mm) or size needed to obtain gauge Yarn Needle 6 Stitch Markers Blocked Gauge: In wedge pattern, 15 hdc and 11 rows = 4” (10 cm) Abbreviations: Ch = Chain Sc = Single crochet Hdc = Half-double crochet Dc = Double crochet St(s) = Stitch(es) Sp = Space V-st = V-stitch YO = Yarn over sk = Skip Sl st = Slip stitch sm = Stitch marker Notes: Shawl is crocheted in three connected sections. First, a symmetrical short row wedge is shaped with half-double crochet stitches, and then the lace sides are stitched along the long sides of the wedge.
