The control and monitoring systems of the Air Pro Series are simplified even further than existing NRC gas management range. All necessary information like pressure, oil temperature and service intervals is presented on a clear and easy to read LCD display on the front panel.

In the NRC Air Pro system, a power reduced rotary screw compressor performes its work. Maximum durability and operation period is guaranteed by the power reduction of this special system. The access to the low pressure compressor, refrigerant dryer and filter system has been optimized, so service and maintenance allows the technician uncomplicated and unimpeded access to the whole system.

A special “Tropical Kit” (optional) ensures a high standard of performance even at very high ambient air temperature and humidity. The dry and clean air from the low pressure compressor passes a triple filter array then passes, as oil free and high purity breathing air, into a hollow fibre membrane. The membrane body is a specially designed oxygen module, which

distinguishes itself by its excellent air quality and air supply performance. The performance of the fibre membrane is limited by a safety valve to ensure a long constant economic lifetime. The Air Pro Series has a performance of 300 to 1000 l/min Nitrox with up to 40 % oxygen, therefore, it is the optimum system for middle and large Dive Centers.

NRC Light Series

With the NRC PG Light Series you can produce Nitrox blends with oxygen contents ranging from 28 % to 40 %. With this system you do not need a separate compressor; the plant is simply connected to a high pressure bank, which makes it more than ever suitable for application in areas with limited electrical power supply. The necessary space for putting in place is extremely reduced and permits thus installations on smallest areas. The plants are simple to handle, extremely uncomplicated to maintain and reliable in service.

Parts Package: The NRC PG Light membrane unit consists of the following parts: Input pressure reducer 200 bar, triple oilfree filters (with extra cartridges), oxygen membrane, and needle valve, high and low pressure relief valve, oxygen analyzer and backup memory for the original Nitrox blend. Function: As soon as the air of the high pressure bank flows through the membrane,

you can read off the actual oxygen content of the gas mixture on the digital analyzer. The compressed air is separated inside the membrane into its components oxygen and nitrogen. By adjusting the needle valve, you can produce different mixtures between 28 % - 40 % oxygen. The redundant nitrogen is led over a valve out of the membrane. The produced Nitrox leaves the membrane with ambient pressure and is directed into the buffer memory.

A high pressure compressor compresses the Nitrox and fills it up into the diving tanks. If a change of mixing proportion is needed, simply adjust the needle valve to the desired blend. By means of a lever valve it can be specified whether the high pressure com-pressor is supplied with ambient air or with the produced Nitrox. There is no wear of the oxygen membrane during use, which guarantees an extremely high life span. With the NRC PG Light Series, service is reduced

to a minimum and is basically limited to the replacement of the filter cartridges. The NRC PG Light Series can be upgraded at any time to the Professional Series, by retrofitting a low pressure compressor.

NRC Nitrox System

Function

Low Pressure Supply

A complete NRC Nitrox System consists of a low pressure air supply with integrated air purification and also a Nitrox Membrane Unit with control units and regulation hardware.

The low pressure air supply, which, depending on the type of system you choose, consists of a low pressure compressor or an array of high pressure storage banks, this in turn supplies virtually oil-free air to the Nitrox Membrane Unit, with a pressure between 7-10 bar.

The heart of the Nitrox Unit is an oxygen membrane of the latest and most advanced design. This membrane is characterized by excellent performance which produces only the highest gas quality. The oxygen enriched air is produced by separating nitrogen and oxygen and enrichment can be obtained up to a maximum of 40 % oxygen (depending on the type of system) by the simple to use „Turnkey“ operation of an integrated needle valve. The accuracy is to 0.1 % of the displayed value.

Nitrox produced this way can then be supplied to a high pressure compressor, which compresses and the gas then fills it into diving tanks. Obviously the high pressure compressor can still be used to compress normal breathing air and can be switched over to Nitrox tanks by way of a directional control valve.

The low pressure compressors used in the NRC Nitrox System is one Air Pro Series. At NRC we consider that the supply of high quality, clea oil free air is paramount.

Air conditioning

Filter: Compressed Air is a valuable source of power. It is safe, flexibl in all areas of industry. Like any other energy source it benefits f clean and free from impurities.

Nitrox Membran The heart of each NRC Nitrox System is the Nitrox Membrane, an oxygen membrane of the latest and most advanced design. Depending on the type of system, different oxygen membranes can be utilized. All membrane types are characterized by extremely high air quality and supply performance. A special filter unit installed before the oxygen membrane guarantees virtually oil-free air and contributes thus to practically an unlimited life span. The Nitrox production of the various membrane units ranges from 200 to over 1500 liter/minute.

Virtually every existing high pressure compressor can be utilized in tandem with an NRC Nitrox Membrane System. Obviously the same compressor can still be used for compressing normal breathing air thanks to a change over switch, thus no additional high pressure compressor is needed for producing Nitrox.

NRC Pick O2 Analyser

With our oxygen analyser we can provide a handy measuring instrument with any advantages and precise measuring technology. In spite of the low overall size and an easy use this handy oxygen analyser has an an excellent oxygen sensor with an measuring exactness. The NRC oxygen analyser is equipped with an electro-chemical sensor and micro controller to measure oxygen concentrations of 0-99%. Designed

as an single-serving analyser with a life span of at least two years, it is a perfect oxygen analyser for daily use at Dive Centers. The usual exchange of the oxygen sensor is no longer necessary. Moreover, the price of an oxygen sensor with an average life span of one year is equale to the price of a new analyser with an operation period of approxiamately two years. Owing to the compact construction dimensions and the low weight the

NRC oxygen analyser is a perfect travel companion for ambitious scuba divers, who set value on quick and precise oxygen analysis. The analyser is constantly ready to function and indicates the value on a two-digit display.

NRC Helium Analyser

The Helium Analyser is a hand-held device for measuring helium content in a gas mixture, and is specifically designed to confirm the Helium content in a gas mixture similar to normal air or nitrogen. The Analyser is powered by rechargeable batteries. The LCD displays the helium content from 0 to 100 % with 0.1 % resolution. When the low battery indicator LED is on, the unit‘s battery needs to ne recharged prior to use. The patented sample unit allows the user to flow a gas mixture through the sensor inside the unit, as well as to seal the gas mixture in the sensor for measurement.

NRC Oxygen Sensors

High-quality oxygen sensors manufactured in Germany The number of oxygen analyser used in scuba diving has strongly risen during the last years. In many cases analyser used in scuba diving, were not developed for this particular purpose, but rather for the application in the industrial or medical field. Although these analyser work uncomplainingly in scuba diving, the first

problems appear, if the oxygen sensor has to be exchanged. Due to the bad availability and a high price the exchange of an oxygen sensor will be often uneconomical or even impossible. NRC offers for nearly all oxygen analyser located at the market exchange sensors, which distinguish itself by a high-class quality. The production in Germany guarantees a top quality and thus exact measuring results. As the

production of the sensors occur only with order, no storage times originate, what effects extreme positively on the life span of the oxygen sensor. Delivery can be made within 7 days. Every sensor will be tested individually and a test protocol will be issued, what can be seen any time if requested. All sensors will be delivered in an airtight box, what also allows a storage.

NRC Accessories

The Nitrox neoprene tank covers for the identification of Nitrox tanks. The cover is simply pulled over the tank, with or without net. Complex handling with Nitrox stickers is not longer necessary. You can now change the outside identification on Nitrox or air tanks any time and very fast. Very durable finishing, available in two sizes, for 10l tanks or for 12l/15l tanks.

Nitrox tank tags are made from rewritable plastic. The following data can be registered on the tag: Date, O2 %, MOD (max. operation depth) and diver’s name. The tag has the size of a credit card and can be fastened to the tank neck.

ProNRC Nitrox Training Material

ProNRC is not to be considered simply a classical training organization, but rather a developer of modern and innovative training programs. Over the last 40 years the picture of recreational divers has been defined by diving with compressed air in combination with the so-called „open system“. Although it is technically as well as medically far outdated, still the majority of recreational divers use this combination. „Modern diving gases and diving devices“ offer big advantages concerning safety, comfort and performance to every diver and furthermore fun and pleasure.

Thus today there are hardly any diving centers/schools which do not offer Nitrox diving and/or Nitrox training to their guests. It won‘t be long and Nitrox will surely replace the normal compressed air a fact four years ago nobody really believed in. A large part of this development surely happened thanks to simplified training methods in addition to professional training materials. This is the chief strength of ProNRC: to create training materials which convey knowledge in a simple and comprehensible way.

Since long alternative breathing gases are not any more considered „exotic“ diving variants - a fact shown by their strong presence all over the world.

ProNRC Nitrox Workbook is our teaching book for Nitrox Diving. One of the goals of ProNRC is to create training materials with the newest educational insights to allow you to learn and teach as easily as possible. The knowledge we impart is at highest level! We are thankfull that we can offer our training material in several languages, because we had great help from well-known personages of the diving-scene.
