Super Long-distance Day/Night Camera Remote Photoelectric Video Monitoring System

1. Product Description Super Long Distance Day/Night Camera is frontier equipment of remote photoelectric video monitoring system. It consists of several devices, including daytime video camera, uncooled infrared imager, servo rotating platform, alarming system and lightning-proof device. It is mainly applied to monitoring targets at a real-time manner and secrete environment, especially for military application such as coast, land and air defense. The whole system employs advanced optical, electric and mechanic technologies, and uses video, infrared light to probe. The rotating platform is mountable to land, ship and helicopter. The daytime video camera and uncooled infrared imager are installed in the rotating platform with servo system. The servo system enables the rotating platform to rotate in azimuth and elevation directions, driving the daytime video camera and uncooled infrared imager to move in both directions. This rotating design allows for observing, monitoring, searching and tracing targets in the range of azimuth -170°~+170° and elevation -45°~+45°, and in the meanwhile, return the angle signal of a target, video signal of the daytime video camera and uncooled infrared imager to the control center. When the rotating platform and other frontier devices are threatened, an alarm signal will be returned and released to warn the person whoever threatens the devices, or the control center can instead send a voice alert.

2. Structure of the Rotating Platform The video monitoring rotating platform is composed of azimuth rotating system, elevation rotating system and loading system. Each of azimuth and elevation rotating systems has an independent servo system consisting of servo motor, photoelectric encoder, rotary potentiometer switch and control circuit. The control circuit includes DSP-specific control chip, large-scale logic circuit, A/D conversion circuit and serial expanded circuit. The serial expanded circuit contains RS232 and RS422 interfaces: two channels for communicating with display and control platform, one channel for communicating with the daytime camera, and one channel for communicating with the thermal infrared imager. Figure 1 demonstrates the structure of the rotating platform and Figure 2 shows the profiles of different range types.

4. Feature and Specification 4.1 Functional Distance According to the functional distance, the system is classified into three categories including short, medium and long range (Table 1). This product is designed with reliable hardware and software (optional) and can be applied to all kinds of environment. 1. Short range:during the daytime and at the visibility ≥2 Km, the distance to observe and recognize a target is ≥3 Km; at night and with simple background and without active source of illumination, the distance to observe and recognize a target is ≥0.75 Km. 2. Medium range:during the daytime and at the visibility ≥4 Km, the distance to observe and recognize a target is ≥6 Km; at night and with simple background and without active source of illumination, the distance to observe and recognize a target is ≥1 Km. 3. Long range:during the daytime and at the visibility ≥6.5 Km, the distance to observe and recognize a target is ≥10 Km; at night and with simple background and without active source of illumination, the distance to observe and recognize a target is ≥1.3 Km.
