New toll rates effective July 1, 2016 GRANGER, Ind. – ITR Concession Co., the operator of the Indiana Toll Road, announces today that new toll rates will be in place on the Indiana Toll Road beginning July 1, 2016. Rates for Class 2 users (non-commercial 2-axle vehicles and motorcycles) with an E-ZPass-compatible transponder (including E-ZPass from Indiana, I-PASS from Illinois and E-ZPass from Ohio) are unchanged. Rates for Class 2 users without an electronic tolling transponder will change to $10.50 for a full 157mile trip. This new rate represents a 30-cent increase from the July 2015 rate, or a 0.2-cent-per-mile increase – from 6.5 cents per mile to 6.7 cents per mile. Rates for Class 5 users (typical 5-axle semi) will adjust from $41 to $42 for a full-length trip, or from 26 cents per mile to 26.7 cents per mile. Toll charges vary according to vehicle class and distance traveled. Due to the required rounding of the new toll rates (to the nearest 10 cents for cash users and to the nearest penny for electronic toll collection users), rates will also vary within each vehicle class between electronic and cash users. The 2016 toll rate adjustment is comparable to the past five years of increases on the Indiana Toll Road, in which the average increase for 2-axle vehicles was .18 cents per mile.

How to get Indiana Toll Road E-ZPass Indiana’s electronic toll-collection system was successfully implemented along the entire length of the Toll Road on April 1, 2008. EZPass transponders may be ordered through the ITRCC Web site, www.ezpassin.com. They are also available by calling our Customer Service Center at (574) 675-4010 or by visiting the Center at our Granger office, 52551 Ash Road. In addition, you can purchase an EZPass for two-axle passenger vehicles and motorcycles at any ITR travel plaza or participating CVS/pharmacy store.
