WORDS FROM OUR SCHOLARS... Who should one befriend? Author: Shaykh Umar ibn Muhamad as -Subayl (Rahimahullah) Jumuah Khutbah: Masjid al-Haram “Dear fathers and mothers! These are the great responsibilities thrust upon you by Allah, so discharge them diligently. Allah addresses you, "O you who believe! Ward off from yourselves and your families a fire (Hell) whose fuel is men and stones, over which are (appointed) angels, stern (and) severe, who disobey not, (from executing) the Commands they receive from Allah, but do that which they are commanded. ROOM GUIDELINES - AT A GLANCE! 1) When entering into the Room, Salaams are to be given, upon leaving also give salaams. If one has to leave abruptly or before session is over and needs to communicate with an instructor, have patience and leave your message. InshaAllah an instructor will respond to your message. If you cannot wait send an IM or an email later inshaAllah. 2) There will be no interruptions during session times unless there is an open discussion with students on the subjects being reviewed. When there are guest speakers or students of knowledge and/or Ulema offering a duroos; please hold all of your questions and comments until the Oral Reading/presentation/Dars is over. 3) Once the Oral Reading is over we will answer questions and hold discussions. All questions and discussions must pertain to the topics. If you ask a question that cannot be answered by way of the text presentation it will be recorded and forwarded to a student of knowledge, the Ulema, or and Imaam for clarity. We ask that you be patient in this process inshaAllah. 4) Again, In the event that a question arises which the instructor can not answer from the current (Islamic Studies) text, then this question will be taken to someone more knowledgeable for an answer. 5) Only currently paid/enrolled female students are allowed in the rooms, unless otherwise stated (example: a guest was invited). There is a list of all students enrolled and anyone outside these guidelines will be asked to leave, and/or blocked from participation. Students that do not obey these guidelines will have their parents' contacted. If students are found in violation of these rules (letting male visitors listen in) or inviting others to listen with you without informing the instructor; you will be barred from any future classes at THM. This message/rule is your warning. 6) Recording by the participant is not permitted at THM. It violates the trust of each individual student and instructor. Fear Allah and Never record the classes inshaAllah. For those who want to listen to previous lectures, yet following the same guidelines as above then a separate link is provided from other sources inshaAllah. Previous class recordings can be accessed on the participation website. (wiziq) 7) Lewd, vulgar, and disrespectful language/speech is not tolerated at any time. This is not the manners of a good Muslimah. If you feel you have been wronged in any matter please feel free to call the Administration regarding your incident. Your call must be followed up with a written complaint for verification. A meeting will be scheduled to discuss the matter with all parties present. If you fail to appear the matter will be dropped. InshaAllah. May Allah keep us all upon the haqq and from those who seek his face only Aameen. Read more policies, rules and regulations online http://www.thmsadaqagroup.org/policiesrulesregs.htm

Mothers, fathers, teachers, and the society as a whole, will all be accountable in front of Allaah about the tarbiyyah (education and upbringing) of this generation. If its tarbiyyah is good, then there will be happiness both in this world and the Hereafter. If it is not, then there will be misery, and it will be a rope around your necks since there occurs in the hadeeth: “Each of you is a shepherd, and each of you will be questioned about those who you are responsible for.” [1] But - O teachers - rejoice in the saying of the Prophet (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallaam), who said: “By Allaah! That Allaah guides through you even a single person, is better for you than the most precious of camels.” [2] And - O parents - rejoice in the authentic hadeeth: “When a person dies, his actions ore terminated except for three; a recurring charity, or knowledge that he leaves which is benefited from, or a pious offspring who supplicates for him.” [3] So you must first of all reform yourselves, since good results from the good that you do, and bad results from the bad that you do. So good conduct from teachers and parents in front of the children is the best form of education and upbringing for them.” [4]

FTSONLINE ISLAMIC STUDIES One Year of extensive study

We put emphasis on the following aspects:

As a Muslim, it is upon you to seek out pathways for successfully obtaining beneficial knowledge for the religion of Islam. You and you alone bear the responsibility of conquering this task to educate yourself and then your family with an open approach to learning the truth. Religion is not forced upon anyone; it is a choice to believe in what is correct and then acting upon that belief based upon proofs and evidence. Whether you are a new Shahadah, Just getting back on track, Seasoned Muslimah, Instructor, young adult, if you have children, or just need to brush up on your knowledge your responsibility remains, you must seek the knowledge.

Knowledge of Allah, His Messenger, and The Religion which includes learning about the first three generations and the basics facts about Islam and it requirements.

the willingness and ability of students to think critically about their purpose in life (to worship Allah)

the training of students to complete research based on authentic resources and the religious importance of preserving the heritage of Islam

the authentic traditions of Islam (Sunnah) and religious experiences and knowledge about important issues (The conditions of the statement Laa Ilaha IllaAllah, the 5 pillars, the importance of learning the Arabic language, Quran, innovations, shirk, preservation, and beneficial speech)

It is the aim of this program to help ourselves and then you to remain upon this path of seeking sound and authentic knowledge from the Major Ulema, minor Scholars, A`imma, and Students of Knowledge. Without Allah’s guidance we shall all be amongst the losers, (we seek Allah’s protection from this, aameen) surely we do not want that for us and certainly not for you, our Muslim family.

We are committed to serving this Ummah, believing that Islam is the only way to Jannah
